Dogging: public sex

Dogging is an extension of "swinging" parties - and involves exhibitionist sex in semi-secluded locations such as car parks or country parks.

The location of dogging "events" is now frequently advertised on websites or communicated via mobile phone text message.

Those attracted by these messages may simply act as voyeurs - or be invited to participate.

'Dogging' craze sex disease risk

OUTDOOR sex events in beauty spots and car parks across the Lothians are being advertised on a new website.

Dozens of sites throughout Edinburgh and the surrounding area are said to be popular for the practice, which is known as "dogging".

The website claims that a car park off Braids Hills Drive and the Gyle shopping centre car park are among the city’s "dogging" hotspots.

The practice involves voyeuristic couples watching others having sex in public places, sometimes joining in themselves.

Website invites voyeurs to sex romps outdoors

Experienced doggers communicate their intentions when they arrive at the pre-arranged sites with a special set of signals.

Leaving the internal car light on means they want to be watched. If they wind down the window this means they want to fondle or be fondled. Havering isn't the only place this type of activity takes place. A recent survey of 260 country parks found that 60 per cent had recorded an increase in dogging and other outdoor sexual activity.

What harm is being done. Provided all participents are concenting adults and activity is kept away from the public at large. It is about time the uk updated it's Victorian laws. Consider this ... at 16 yrs old you can get married, have sex, have children, but you can't watch it at the cinima until you are 18. One example of ludicrous, outdated laws in the UK.
