Genetics & Sexuality

Amorous Research

Will low sex drive prove to be treatable by genetic therapy?

The researchers asked 148 healthy male and female university students to fill out a questionnaire describing their individual sexual arousal, functions, and desire in everyday situations. They then compared the answers to the subjects' gene sequencing variations and the "D4" receptor.

...

The researchers found consistencies between the subject's answers and the variation of this gene. One common variation seemed to depress the subjects' sex drive and another common variation increased and enhanced sexual functions.

Sex drive is in your genes

How do you feel?

Feel free to share your feelings about Genetics & Sexuality. Please stick to the theme of the entry. Disagreement is fine. Homophobia, racism, and kindred expressions of hatred will be deleted. This site is one of my hobbies. I genuinely enjoy hearing from people and hate moderating or killing comments. Forthright disagreement is fine as long as it is civil.
My thanks,
