A paper appearing in the Proceedings of the Royal Society Journal says that creative people have more sex. The sample population is a whopping 425 Brits.
"Creative people are often considered to be very attractive and get lots of attention as a result," Dr Nettle said. "They tend to be charismatic and produce art and poetry that grabs people's interest.
"It could also be that very creative types lead a bohemian lifestyle and tend to act on more sexual impulses and opportunities, often purely for experience's sake, than the average person would. Moreover, it's common to find that this sexual behaviour is tolerated in creative people."
Most people are 'creative' by self-declaration. But their actual creativity aside most poets, even rotten ones (and not counting T.S. Eliot and Wallace Stevens) often do live without regard to conservative social norms.
Anyone who isn't inhibited will have more sex that someone who is. That includes wild plumbers verse shy writers of vers libre.
