Girlfriend / boyfriend auctions end

Amorous Web, Cyber Sex

eBay says no to rent-a-girl/boyfriend auctions.

"After our 30-day relationship ends, you can dump me however you please. If you want, I can even write you one last letter begging you to take me back!" wrote 21-year-old Californian Amanda Hart in her listing.

But last week, just when the phenomenon was getting rolling, the bids topping $100, the supply of imaginary lovers more and more diverse, eBay pulled the plug.

Perhaps the impetus was postings like that from a 25-year-old Alaskan, "Kara," who also runs a phone sex service and offered bidders a chance to see her on a Web cam. She just wanted some extra cash she could earn while spending "quality time" at home with her 2-year-old son, she says - but eBay wasn't buying it.

"What we saw happening was more and more people using (the listings) to offer sexual services, which always have been banned from the site," says Hani Durzy, eBay spokesman. "We made the decision to pull these as inappropriate listings."

I think it is stupid saleing your boyfriend or girlfriend online because if u think about it, its just like abusing her or just having ur fun w/ him or her and then throwing him or her away like they are trash!
Nobody is selling anybody. They were offering to pretend to by your girlfriend or boyfriend.
