Older Americans turn to online dating

Amorous Web, Cyber Sex

Having used the web to date, I'm all in favor of online dating. Still most of the snippets I post on the topic tend prompt a sardonic snicker. Being an old softie and silly romantic I'll just smile at this one.

"You don't have to be a beauty queen or a young babe to find interesting people on the Net. People think that their romantic lives are over because of age, but it has nothing to do with it," said [Bellis] Waller, a psychotherapist in Milwaukee who logged onto chatrooms and then Match.com after her second husband died in 1996.

Older people turn to internet to find love

I'd love to find a few success stories left as comments.

Comments

I’m not ‘old’. I’m 25. However, I’m neither a beauty queen, nor a young babe. Like the older segment of the population, though, I don’t enjoy hunting in bars, and don’t necessarily hunt at all. I went to Lavalife and found a wonderful partner - someone I never would have met otherwise.

How do you feel?

Feel free to share your feelings about Older Americans turn to online dating. Please stick to the theme of the entry. Disagreement is fine. Homophobia, racism, and kindred expressions of hatred will be deleted. This site is one of my hobbies. I genuinely enjoy hearing from people and hate moderating or killing comments. Forthright disagreement is fine as long as it is civil.
My thanks,
Richard
