Well, I am a vegan who is into BDSM and I think this article is right on the mark. I am a submissive and enjoy rough play and being flogged. It is not cruel because I enjoy it and if it ever goes to far I can always say the safety word and the flogging ends. Animals do not get a safety word, people that (ab)use them do not care or ignore their cries or maybe get some sick sadistic pleasure out of it. Whips and chains belong in the bedroom, not the circus
