Grayson Perry's happy transvestism

Gender Outsiders: Transgendered & Others

Very few men will admit to wearing women's clothes. So the artist Grayson Perry, 44, captured the world's attention when he went up to accept the 2003 Turner Prize in a satin daisy-sprigged dress embroidered with the word sissy.

Just a sweet transvestite

methinks it was true style on the part of Grayson to recieve the Turner Prize wearing a dress. Promise if I ever win the turner prize I will wear my legs ;)

I deeply believe that he did the very right thing. He says “It’s not just an erotic thrill. It’s also kind of like a coming-home.” and this feeling surely needs an expression.

How do you feel?

Feel free to share your feelings about Grayson Perry's happy transvestism. Please stick to the theme of the entry. Disagreement is fine. Homophobia, racism, and kindred expressions of hatred will be deleted. This site is one of my hobbies. I genuinely enjoy hearing from people and hate moderating or killing comments. Forthright disagreement is fine as long as it is civil.
My thanks,
Richard
