hmmm--this sort of reminds me of mistress matisse's first marriage to a lesbian who became a man. kate bornstein was a straight man who became a lesbian, and she found herself becoming more and more attracted to men. i wonder, alex started out as a femme gay guy--will she be able to access some latent lesbianism once she is post op? sexuality can be a really fluid thing. gender performance can really influence what and who we are attracted to at any given moment.
I've known a few transsexuals who are lesbian identified. Heterosexual men who were transgendered but only (or mostly) attracted to females. Trans folk have such a diversity of sexual and affectional preferences I wouldn't dare generalize. Nor can I guess where Alex will go. Thankfully she greatly prefers masculine guys right now. My own sexuality is the most fluid I've encountered. Almost helplessly adapting to male, female, dominant, submissive. But I reject the idea that it can be so for most people. I don't think they can detach themselves from their preferences and treat their sexual and gender orientation as perfomative acts. A great pity: if most people could simply find an appropriate partner and respond to them without precondition they'd perhaps be much happier.

How do you feel?

Feel free to share your feelings about Pansexual Sodomite's new transsexual girlfriend. Please stick to the theme of the entry. Disagreement is fine. Homophobia, racism, and kindred expressions of hatred will be deleted. This site is one of my hobbies. I genuinely enjoy hearing from people and hate moderating or killing comments. Forthright disagreement is fine as long as it is civil.
My thanks,
Richard
