Why the Male Creature is a Mess
» Gender Studies
Shere Hite was one of the most famous sex writers of the 1970s. She's often credited with giving the clitoris the focus it deserves. She's back, having written Oedipus Revisited: Sexual Behaviour in the Human Male Today .
In her latest book, Hite claims that men's inability to give women the respect and love that they need in order to thrive in a relationship comes because of the brutal fashion in which they are expected to break with their mothers. This trauma, she argues, leaves men unable to trust women. She suggests that it makes them unwilling to be emotionally vulnerable with a woman and results in them feeling proud when they reject the women they really love. This appears to be a perfectly useful and practical observation. No doubt, however, men who want to kill their fathers and fuck their mothers everywhere, will find it utterly outrageous.
Well, none of that applies to me. Guess that is why I'm such a nice guy.

It’s simple…I love and adore women and I have absolutely no problems in showing this…especially the passionate sidewink
I pity women who hate men!

I havent read this book but I can say that I honestly understand why men have a problem giving women their exclusive trust and being placed in a vunerable situation.
And the reason is that so often women too are guilty of emotional abuse — whether it be cheating on their partner, depriving him unduly of sex or using sex to control him or treating him in a derogatory way.
I truly believe that at least in the western world, both men AND women have an equally long way to go in resolving these incredibly common problems!
