Women's pursuit of pleasure: hooray!
• Gender Studies
People who wish they lived in the past are so damned silly.
From a review of Maryanne Galvin's new documentary, The Pursuit of Pleasure.
``Women are much more independent now and don't need a man to support them,'' said septuagenarian sexpert Sue Johanson, who answers folks' questions about the coital coil on the Oxygen network. ``Women now want love, they demand respect, and they want good sex. They didn't know enough to want good sex before. They would just lie there and think of England.''
``We have more permission than ever to explore our bodies and to be sexual creatures,'' said Aline Zoldbrod, a Lexington-based sex therapist who's been practicing for 30 years.
