A firefighter who moonlights as an adult movie actress sounds like a sitcom plot; the male firefighters would be titillated and goofy. But in Keyes, California they are disgusted.
Seventeen of her fellow firefighters have resigned in protest. They claim Jones talked about her X-rated career in the firehouse with her husband, who is an assistant fire chief.
One of those who quit is Capt. Herb Collier. He says there needs to be a separation between porn and the fire service.

It is interesting that the AP article spun it that way, because there may be more to the story than 17 prudish firemen. According to the source below, Jones and her husband may have abused their authority, which makes me wonder if the resignations had something to do with the treatment of the fire cadet mentioned. If Ms. Jones were selling Amway instead of porn, we would likely see her husband’s behavior as inappropriate. On the other hand, maybe the protesters just need to lighten up. (Maybe they have problems getting the water to spray out of their firehoses?)
