Social security doesn't pay for brothels

» Just Plain Funny

Ananova reports that a German man expects more social services than his government is willing to pay for.

Initially, he asked the authorities to refund him the price of an inflatable doll he'd bought - but without success.

He then sent them a bill for 16 brothel visits, 32 porn movies, a magazine and costs for driving to the video store - a total of £1,650.

Ananova: Frustrated German wants social workers to provide sex

Comments

Apparently in Australia social workers do occassionally pay for brothel visits (source: an ex-colleague of mine) I am desperately seeking any references to the above as I am a social work student and would like to cite this for a paper. Very disappointed you don’t seem to have a link to the full article

substances and activities related to causing the typical nuerotransmitter releases and changes in brain state associated with the expectation of orgasm, the progress towards orgasm and the orgasm itself, should no more be paid for by social services than any other activity or substance that produces the same or very similar neurotransmitter releases or brain state changes.

So for instance, neuroscientists have found that the sex act is characterized by an increase in norepenephrin, adrenalin and pulse rate leading up to orgasm followed by a large release of dopamine at orgasm, followed by a large release of prolactin within minutes of orgasm, which has the effect of washing out or neutralizing the extra dopamine, as well as tending to make the person prefer to reduce mobility for 10 to 30 minutes.

The release of dopamine at orgasm is similar in magnitude, say the neuroscientists, to the release caused by the average street load of heroin.

Alcohol also increases dopamine.

All dopamine increasing activities and substances create a compulsive need to repeat in most people. This compulsion is the result of changes in the neurotransmitter system below the level of thought, which then triggers the thought to re-aquire, the thought then appearing in consciousness as if it had been cognitively generated by the person themselves. In essense, this describes thought control.

So then we can say that social services should not pay for persons to become subjected to thought control via activities or substances. Then it’s easy to rule out paying for compulsion producing drugs, alcohol, sex or sex aides, coffee, tobacco, and excessive fats and sugars. Also, social services should not pay for flattery.

All of these substances are used by purveyors to induce the person into a relationship where he/she exchanges money or other goods or services for essentially worthless items or activities.

In such relationships the person will often return again and again for another fix, all the while under mind control, and yet all the while thinking with total certainty they had cognitively formed the thought to aquire on their own, with their own self agency — Not so.

This concept becomes immediately clear to some, while others often struggle with it or reject it, because it requires seeing yourself as frequently compusively controlled and thus under mind control. No one wants to think some or all of their thoughts are not generated from the cognitive part of the brain. However, it is the case that many thoughts pop into consciouness from unseeable parts of the brain/mind and then seem to have been self-generated.

For instance, when you think of what you want to eat for lunch, this is actually a result of the brain responding to subconscious signals that the organism needs fuel, and then memories of food that satisfied in the past are pushed into your conscious mind for you to consider.

The only decision you consciously make is which food to eat. However, some experts question whether that decision isn’t decided for you also by other “unseeable” parts of the brain.

A better understanding of how the brain/mind works is helpful in sorting out the more serious, sober needs of people from those that are trivially mechanical and unnecessary.
