Concubinage Restoration?
» Laws and Politicians, Mostly Bad
Israel, Britain, Pakistan - how many countries have had women heads of state and government (not always the same person as is the US's president). In Japan the possibility of a female head of state raises sadly sexist fears.
A close relative of the Japanese emperor has urged the government to consider reintroducing concubines rather than allow women to ascend the Chrysanthemum Throne.
In a controversial contribution to the debate over Japan's looming succession crisis, Prince Tomohito, the eldest cousin of Emperor Akihito and fifth in line to the throne, said all options should be exhausted before the law is changed to pave the way for a reigning empress.
Bring back concubines, urges emperor's cousin

I don’t think that concubinage should be restored because it’s like you’re saying that women don’t have rights. I also don’t see why there can’t be a ruling empress . It’s not like having one will ruin your lives forever!I also don’t think its very fair to women, because
WOMEN HAVE THE SAME RIGHTS AS MEN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

While some may think that women are equal to men in reality they just are not equal and probably will never be equal… this seems to be a system that has worked for the culture in the past.. why fight what works?
