30% of frat boys are gay

Amusing if questionable statistic about the American fraternity population. Frat boys ... yuck! But there's certainly plenty of gay erotica about 'fraternal organizations.' Must be the paddles.
Ten percent of the population is gay, but 30 percent of men in fraternities are gay, DeCarlo said. He said the reason for this is fraternities are a good way to bond and be around other men.

I would like to state that, YES! At least 30% are gay. I am in a fraternity that(Due to social reasons) I will leave without a name, and it is almost a rule that you have sex with many other guys in the fraternity. I believe (My personal opinion), that it brings our brothers together in a closer relationship. I understand that society as a whole does not accept the…um…gay community but,I believe(Along with my brothers) that it isn’t a bad thing. We accept it as part of becoming a man. Many of my Brothers have went on to become doctors, lawyers, and more. It hasn’t effected the way they lead their life at all. It just brings us together on a more personal level.

This pretty much contradicts the question that you asked me on Pansexual Sodomite.
I’m all in favor of everybody having as much safe, consensual sex as possible.
But this sounds like sheer fantasy.

I was in a fraternity. I saw a lot of gay “acting out”, as a way to induce laughter. I’m not sure why a couple of the guys were always “dry humping” each other; especially when there was a gathering of fraternity brothers. Yes, it was funny, but I wonder why they were so interested in engaging in this type of play. There were a few guys who would often want to take naps with me, in my own single bed. It was like they wanted to cuddle and to have intimacy with whoever was available. There were also guys who liked to be on display and talk about their anatomy while in the group showers.
