I live in Durham just a few minutes away from Chapel Hill. Normally Chapel Hill glows with grooviness. Not on August 28th 2004.

Clear Channel Communications the company that timidly suspended Howard Stern's radio show operates G.105 here in Research Triangle Park, NC. This coming Saturday the radio station will be staging a Heterosexual Pride March in Chapel Hill.

"Straight is Great!" they say. "Flaming Heterosexual" t-shirts and mugs are available.

Indeed there's a whole raft of (rather ghastly) heterosexual pride "straightware."

Not I've never been the kind of queer that begrudges heterosexual people their lifestyle but do they have to flaunt it?
