Fight over Asia's pink tourists

Thai gay people declare economic war on their equivalents in Singapore. Nice to see gay people fighting over money instead of simply struggling to be tolerated by an angry, smug majority.

Thailand boasts Asia's largest annual Mardi-Gras as well as the most vibrant and open gay club scene and annual gay beauty pageant.

However, wedged between conservative Malaysia and Indonesia, Singapore has experienced a boom in gay clubs following a change of government attitude towards the so-called pink dollar in the late 1990s.
