As an on and off gay man I find the sentiment a bit offensive myself.
A Troy High School classroom poster with a message that "gay people are everyday people," plus an article about sex in the school newspaper has ignited protests from some parents.
It appears the poster may remain, but school administrators now are reviewing student newspaper stories for "appropriateness."
One of the parents, Anthony Cruz, 49, said he expects about 80 persons could join the protest at the next Troy School Board meeting, May 17.
