Anniversary

Richard Evans Lee

The list of monthly archives suggests that this is Amorous Propensities third anniversary (well there is that archive from the mysterious year 0000).

Not that I’m sure what Amorous Propensities real age is. It started as part of Gullibility isn’t in the dictionary. That was originally a static section of my first website. Then a Blogger blog, a Live Journal community before I bought Movable Type and put it here.

Realizing that while gullibility and erotic life often intertwine (oh, those wonderful magic penis pills and exercises) it was best to separate the sexuality from the village atheism.

So about October 2002 I added this section to Edifying Spectacle.

Originally meant to note only the silly side of sex, many unhappy stories proved irresistible and the tag expanded from “sex is funny” to “sex is funny, sex is sad.”

It has been entertaining. Researching topics and - even more - comments from visitors has taught me far more about sexuality than I could’ve ever guessed.

Surprisingly some pages have become if only transitorily references pages on various topics. Probably the biggest surprise were the hundred or so women who posted about an exceptionally well-marketed but worthless cure for female sexual dysfunction.

Often I’ve meant to write more and cut and paste less. But my limited energy for original composition is usually exhausted by my D/s website and Pansexual Sodomite (wherein I learned people would actually read a 3,000 word note about how I came to find gay male crossdressers attractive).

I’ve made a few friends. With luck and time I’ll get to know more of you.

And there are a few of my fellow sexuality webloggers I try to read, even if time doesn’t always permit.

I’m not going to try to do a thorough list. If I’ve ever left a comment on your site then you know I’m reading if only on and off.

Thanks.

How do you feel?

Feel free to share your feelings about Anniversary. Please stick to the theme of the entry. Disagreement is fine. Homophobia, racism, and kindred expressions of hatred will be deleted. This site is one of my hobbies. I genuinely enjoy hearing from people and hate moderating or killing comments. Forthright disagreement is fine as long as it is civil.
My thanks,
Richard
