While I'd abstractly admired nice boots and shoes on women and men I never gave them much concentrated thought or affection.

The moment I saw these I knew I had to buy them for her. They were to be her welcome to the US present. They were too small. The online merchant lied about their return policy and never sent me an RMA. As much as I hated to give them more money we liked them so much that I ordered a second larger pair.

These coffee-colored knee-high boots were equally irresistible. Happily she likes them even more than I'd hoped. They look lovely when she wears them. (Bought from Zappos, a footwear site I can't recommend strongly enough. Though most of the shoes were bought from Amazon.)

I don't have a knack for writing about clothing. What can I say, she always looks fetching in these ankle-high boots.

These 1950s style heels evoked a peculiarly transgressive lust when I saw them. Even though I knew she didn't particularly want red shoes, for some reason no other color felt right. Probably lots of images from old movies of women manipulating men with their sexual power.

Don't drink and look at shoes online. We did and a few weeks later three pairs of thigh-highs arrived.
