Heteroflexible, Heteroflexibility

Richard Evans Lee

Nonce words for sexuality come and go, mostly go. I just discovered heteroflexible.

Seems to mean people who are mostly heterosexual but to a lesser degree enjoy sex with members of their own gender. Tepid, perhaps timid bisexuality.

Laurie Essig a few years ago in Salon said that "The latest semantic ploy to keep sexual options open really pisses me off." Heteroflexibility.

I guess I'm sort of homoflexible. Or something. Oh yeah, I do call my personal weblog Pansexual Sodomite for a reason.

Sexuality and labels: Metrosexual, Pansexual, Bisexual, Omnisexual? and Labels: fauxmosexual, pansexual, metrosexual.

How do you feel?

Feel free to share your feelings about Heteroflexible, Heteroflexibility. Please stick to the theme of the entry. Disagreement is fine. Homophobia, racism, and kindred expressions of hatred will be deleted. This site is one of my hobbies. I genuinely enjoy hearing from people and hate moderating or killing comments. Forthright disagreement is fine as long as it is civil.
My thanks,
Richard
