I think that its a great irony that we are calling for this debate now, when all of the politicians are using "get tough on *SEX* crimes" as an excuse to get elected ('cause they don't have anything better to get elected on.) In the past 2-years the averge sentence for any kind of sex crime in the USA has doubled. Look at Arizona. SAA is against pornography (and so am I) but in Arizona people are getting effectively life in prison for possessing a few dozen kiddie porn images. I'm sorry, but there are limits. In Canada you'd probably get probation. This culture itself seems to have the same binge-purge cycle that we would expect to see from a person with problems with sexual compulsivity. On one hand we live in an environment that totally glamourizes and glorifies sex and makes it out to be the most important thing in life (one prerequisite for sex addiction). The media uses sex to distract its viewers, listeners, readers and users from the worries of our current day like Terrorism, the wars in Iraq and especially Afghanistan. Using sex as an escape is another indicator of sex addiction. Yet another indicator of addiction is denial. Our society get kids hooked on sex just after they are hooked on cafeine, yet we are in denial about our children having an identity as sexual beings, all the while putting them in beauty pageants and purfume. If a man gave a blowjob to his new born son, it would no doubt effect the boy for the rest of his life, yet the same son could be circumcised without any anthestic, not feel any pain, have no memory or trauma about the event, and be happy that his penis was mutilated. The only reason that we don't look at the obvious problems is because most people don't have the courage to accept that these problems are not uncommon and that -- heaven forbid, they might even be a sex addict too. Why wouldn't they be? So with that said and done, I'm almost sorry that pedophilia wasn't eliminated from DSM. I don't know what would have happened, but I do know that I would have like to see the face of Stockwell Day, Ernie Eves and Julian Fantino's when they found out about it.

I personally am attracted to small, not young, and the fact that a 40lb's very anorexic female form is very attractive, and is an object of dellicate compactness and efficiency, the skelotal look draws me as a desire to protect and gently take care of. I am sad that these aren't normal human attributes, but life is this, not what we want it to be. Looking at children as some do feels amazing and undescribable, and the intensity some feel is otherworldly. The ability for such intensity and passion might be intentionally programmed in certain people as a means of allowing society to question it's self, and religion, or perhaps these feelings are intentional as feelings that are more intense than can be accounted for, perhaps an addictive mental process that is left for us to examine. Perhaps we will in searching find out how to manipulate these values in a way that finds a predetermined medium. Reallity is though that a child the size of doll can be used as a hand puppet toy, big enough to mearly wrap around the male, and the reduction of a human life to a glove for masturbation is sad. :(

The first time I found myself attracted to a fourteen year old I was shocked at myself. Scared by myself might be a better way to put it. But thinking a bit I realized it was mostly aesthetic appreciation. There was an erotic tinge to the appreciation but it stopped well short of anything dangerous. I'm greatly drawn to frailty that inspires a desire to hold and protect myself. "reduction of a human life to a glove for masturbation is sad" that sums it up pretty well.
