Lusty Lady Theater

Sex Workers

Founded more than two decades ago, the Lusty Lady made history in 1995 when it became the nation's first strip club to unionize, joining the Service Employees International Union to improve work conditions.

Earlier this year, the union and the owners reached agreement on a new two-year contract that boosted hourly wages, increased sick pay and lowered the number of dancers hired.

A month later, the owners told the dancers they were closing the club, saying the business had become too expensive.

In danger of losing their livelihoods, the dancers began talking about buying the club and running it themselves. Pooling their experience and soliciting help from a local grocery cooperative, they formed a co-op and bought the club from its owners. They won't reveal the purchase price.

A whorehouse is a whorehouse, whether owned by whore masters, or the harlots. Harolts should be stoned to death for blaspheming against GOD. THERE IS NO GOD EXCEPT GOD AND HIS NAME IS ALLAHA
Well, we here in the civilized world do appreciate your point of view on tolerance, forgiveness and love for all. Especially appreciated are your thoughts on God, Allah, the Great One, or whatever you choose to call him, being a loving God. Then again one prophet said, "Let he who is without sin cast the first stone." But perhaps we are talking about the wrong wiseman here? Maybe the thing we need to do is be less forgiving of the unforgiving, be heartless toward the heartless? Perhaps Ali big Manhood has a way to achieve a loving peaceful world through violence and hate.

How do you feel?

Feel free to share your feelings about Lusty Lady Theater. Please stick to the theme of the entry. Disagreement is fine. Homophobia, racism, and kindred expressions of hatred will be deleted. This site is one of my hobbies. I genuinely enjoy hearing from people and hate moderating or killing comments. Forthright disagreement is fine as long as it is civil.
My thanks,
Richard
