Selling Sex on the Web Can Still Put You in Jail

Sex Workers

As a few people know from harsh experience just because you aren’t standing on the street corner doesn’t mean the cops won’t come knocking on your door if you provide others with sex - physical or virtual.

Juhu Thukral is the Director of the Sex Workers Project and says they get calls from their clients all the time who have been arrested for indoor work, picked up by the police after they read “Craigs List” and other Internet hot spots.

“I think that people think they won’t be arrested or that it’s going to protect them in a certain way,” Thukral says.
