30,000 have bought a $50 bottle of Avlimil

Sexual Health

Avlimil is a herbal remedy with slick TV commercials. From the same mindset that brought us penis enlargement pills. I hope not too many women are suckered into wasting their money. But sex makes us all do foolish things.

“Just what we need — more ads that try to appeal to a woman’s fear that she isn’t normal,’ said Dr. Leonore Tiefer, associate professor of psychiatry at the New York University School of Medicine. “Fifty million is a ludicrous number. There may be 50 million women dissatisfied with their sex lives, but it is probably for 50 million different reasons.”

Drugs to treat female sexual dysfunction get close look

It’s manufacturers claim that Avlimil was tested in a clinical trial and proved to work, but the study was very small and too flawed to be medically credible. Interestingly, the manufacturers have hedged their bets with the disclaimer that female sexual response “is complex and can be severely altered by many emotional and physical states. ...

Based on what we know now, the only proven way to enhance female sex drive is with the male hormone testosterone, available by prescription.

That's what's bothering some industry observers and experts in the fields of sexual dysfunction and drug advertising, who say Avlimil is setting a dangerous precedent. What sets the product apart, they say, are not the curative claims made on its behalf -- though there is slim scientific basis for these. In the freewheeling dietary supplement market, that hardly qualifies as extraordinary. What's unusual about Avlimil is its slick marketing campaign, which borrows liberally from strategies used to push prescription medication.

It's Not a Drug. But Ads for a 'Viagra-Like' Product for Women Might Fool You

Dr. Jeffrey Kotzen, a West Palm Beach, Fla., gynecologist, witnesses this phenomenon in his medical practice.

"Libido has to do with what's in the mirror and on the scale, about how you feel about your spouse, fatigue and depression, and your partner's sexuality," he said. "If you experience a burst of sexual energy in your 40s or 50s, those comfortable in their own bodies will be the ones who have a renewed burst of desire. It's a fork in the road, and the path depends on self-confidence and where you are in life."

It's clear to Kotzen that middle-age women are hungry to rev up their sex lives.

He turns thumbs down on Avlimil, a new over-the-counter sex-drive enhancer for women. (It's heavily advertised on TV, with young women exclaiming, "I got my passion back!") Samples were mailed to his office.

"I haven't seen any patients with significant improvement in symptoms," he said. "I've given samples out to patients, saying, 'I've no idea if this will work.' Nothing yet has been found to enhance female arousal."

'Sun' resonates with women seeking passion

yes, I ordered it. I have asked several different doctors to help me for years: they ignore me, tell me to buy a lubricant, prescribed testosterone…did nothing, etc. I am so fed up and worn down from feeling NOTHING for years, I am willing to order anything that promises to help me at this point. LIfe is not worth living with no feelings.

So, the old boyfriend decided that it wasn’t his half ass attempts at foreplay that was keeping him from getting laid. Oh no, it’s me. So he ‘surprises’ me with this happy purple pill…all I have to say is Avlimil won’t prevent you from being an asshole (big turn-off) and Viagra won’t give me double D tits. Screw off…pills won’t make me want you! Thanks, I feel better!

I JUST GOY MY ORDER OF AVLIMIL I REALLY HOPE IT WORKS I JUST TOOK FIRST PILL ABOUT 30MINUTES AGO AND YES IT DOES SUCK GOING WITH OUT FEELINGS OF SEX I HAVE BEEN GOING LIKE THIS FOR ABOUT A YEAR ALREADY AND MY RELATIONSHIP IS GOING DOWN HILL SO I HOPE THIS HAPPY PURPLE PILL WORKS

I ordered Avlimil about 3 months ago. I wanted to give it a good fighting chance before I made my opinion of this product. Okay, so here’s my opinion. At $35 a month I think this is ridiculous. It really stinks that men have Viagra and other similar drugs, but for women it just doesn’t seem like there is anything out there that is legitimate. Ladies, save your money on this pill. It doesn’t work. Take the $35 a month and go get a facial. You will feel alot better that way!

I tried this product for 4 months and was deeply dissatisfied. Not only did it not do anything for me, but when I returned the unused two month supply I had, they refused to give me credit for both months. When I asked to speak with the supervisor, he claimed he had no supervisor, had no boss. AVLIMIL IS JUST ANOTHER RIPOFF FOR AMERICAN WOMEN.

It may not work for everyone. It absolutely works for me.

I tried the “free” month supply thinking it would help with the menopausal symptoms I was experiencing. However, with the order of which I only had to pay 4.95 for the shipping and handling came several other offers of which I turned down. Now I find that $139.00 was withdrawn from my account saying I had ordered one of their other products they were bragging about. Beware. I called the 800 number and was told of all the benefits I would get if I let them keep my money and I had to ask to speak to a supervisor who told me my money would be put into my account within 3 working days. So far, Nothing. Please be careful who you give account access to. I learned the hard way.

Well, I guess the news on Avlimil took care of that hope. I am post-menopausal looking for a way to keep up with my Texan husband. Ordered something that was suggested by health book I get monthly. Got it today, here goes everything.

Women really do get the short end of the stick ( no pun intended) in matters of sexuallity and self esteem. Too bad there are still modern day snake oil salesmen out there who are willing to take advantage of peoples senstive issues, all for personal profit. Welcome to the good ol’USA, the bastion of the “free” market.

I was also suckered into trying a “One Month Trial” of Avlimil for what I thought was a one time $35.00 charge to my credit card. I was surprised when 3 weeks later I received another months supply and my card was again charged $35.00. Trying to cancel it was an absoute nightmare and I’m waiting to see if any more charges appear on my card. This product did absolutely NOTHING it claimed to do. Might as well have been taking a vitamin pill. This was an expensive lesson to learn about buying over the internet. How do these companies get away with it!! I hope this saves any other unexpecting women from ordering this bogus product.

I also ordered the free 1 month supply. I have taken it for approximately 2 1/2 weeks. I can’t say that I feel any different, however it is not enought to continue with $35. per month. I called to cancel and they tried to get me to enter the 12 month money back program. I told her if it didn’t work in 2 weeks why would I want to continue for 12 months. I am waiting till mid October to see if I am billed again. I also have learned a lesson about giving my account # over the phone. Won’t happey again… Anna

I ordered the 4.50 free trial supply. I took all of it and nothing at all happened. I am sure I did not sign up to get additional shipments, but lo and behold in the mail came another month’s supply. I tried the customer service number day and night and they say calls are backed up. You can’t get thru to anyone. I tried going to the customer service link on the internet site and they say they are working on getting one but don’t have one yet. THIS IS THE BIGGEST RIPOFF IN THE WORLD!! I tried it on the advice of a friend, and now I am afraid I can’t stop them from charging to my card.

My wife asked me to get her the FREE TRIAL for her and now they are charging my card monthly too. I am trying to cancel it today.

I too, ordered the one month trial for $4.95 and was billed an additional $35 for another month’s supply. I do feel a small increase in energy - but did not want or authorized any additional charges on my card! Even if this product did work the ethics of the company STINK!!! I’ve called customer services and spoke with Zack, Monica, Shelly and Tia who all claimed NO SUPERVISORS ARE AVAILABLE. I have faxed, and mailed a letter of complaint to my attorney, Channel 7 On Your Side and the Better Business Bureau. My next step will be a personal campaign to STOP COMPANIES LIKE THIS FROM SCAMMING THE CONSUMER!

I plan to make the California Recall look like a TEA PARTY!

I took the internet page with the ingredients to “Wild Oats” (a health food and suppliment store). They had never heard of it and they said they did not have anything comparable. I wonder why a huge respectable suppliment store such as “Wild Oats” does not jump on the money wagon and have something close to the same product with the great results. Could it be that it is phony. Reading about the credit card woes, I will choose not to try this product at this time.

Wild oats is sold in health food store under it’s Latin name: Avena sativa. People still try pushing it as an aphrodisiac and muscle builder.

PAY ATTENTION ? When it comes to money a lot of us pay attention, 30% please, if someone wants money from me I pay 110% of what’s going on. Maybe if these snakes were an honest business we wouldn’t have these problems. Phones backed up, problems with your account, can’t find supervisor, I say whatever! If this was a legitimate product, then I believe there wouldn’t be all these complaints. Do the research before you buy. Sure it may work on some but then again it could all be in the mind. Here is an example, A study was done some time back, it involed college students that were told they were getting alcohol in their drinks, out of 20 students 3 actually had alcohol yet all but 2 had the the reaction of being drunk. So,the point is, some people will believe the hype while others actually try to see if it actually works. PS. How many of the so called “it really works” testimony’s are from actual consumers that have tried this ?

To all of those who have posted messages warning potential “Subscribers” to this product —- THANK YOU!!! I was interested in ordering the free sample (+shipping/handling) but not after reading your postings!! I know you can’t please everyone all of the time….and there is always someone that isn’t going to like the product but give me a break…..the ratio here isn’t very pretty!! Thanks again!!! I didn’t get scammed because of you!!

I am a 39 yr. old female who had to have a total hysterectomy about 5 years ago, and since then my sex drive has gone down hill ! I saw the add for Avlimil on t.v. and decided to give it a try ….. I got on the internet and ordered the “free” 30 day sample and was billed $4.95 to my credit card. Then without my authorization the company billed $35.00 to my card and I was shipped another months supply !!! I called the company and asked them NOT to bill my credit card again, and told them that I never agreed to continue ordering their product. Needless to say , they gave me the run around and said that I would have to fill out some form to be billed monthly payable only by money order. I am still waiting to get this “form”. In the meantime I called my credit card company and told them what had happened , and now I have to fill out the dispute on the back of statement in order to get credited back my $35.00. So BEWARE of ordering ANYTHING from the internet ! As far as the little “magic” purple pill…… I haven’t noticed that much of a difference yet…. I have been taking it for a month, and they claim that it takes 12 weeks for “Optimal Results”. I am a little skeptical , but willing to give it a go…..

OK, I guess I have mixed feeling here, we received our ‘free trial’ about two days ago, and my wife is beginnning the ‘trial period’. I see people complaining about getting charged, but here is a quote from their web-site in plain view:

Order Avlimil today, and get your first 30-day cycle absolutely free. Offer includes enrollment in Managed Care Direct™. Every month you will receive a new 30-day cycle of Avlimil for the Managed Care Direct special price of just $35. If after purchasing 12 months’ supply, you aren’t completely satisfied with the results, we’ll give you a full money-back refund!

OK, that’s pretty up front, so anyone saying it’s a scam for credit card fraud, well that’s inaccurate. Now I also see people with good things to say about Avlimil (wish I saw more). I have no idea if this product works or not, but I figure for $35.00/month for a couple months, it’s worth the risk. Anyone else with good experiences with this pill? They have on their web-site everywhere that after a month, you should notice some signs, and after 3 months, it should be at full swing. Well that little trial will cost me $70.00, and at this point, I’d be willing to pay $200.00 for a ‘chance’ at it working. I’ll post our findings, wish us luck!

I’ve taken it for a bit more than 90 days and I can say it works for me … I lubricate more than I ever have and the desire is there … no kidding!

Well, everything that has been mentioned in the negative is what has happened to me. I called my Bank and because I used my Visa Check Card and the $35.00 came in as a pending I was alerted to the charge. When it posts I will file a complaint they will investigate and the money will be refunded. My bank also at free of charge put a stop payment on any other charge that might come through. I called the toll free number and number and got that same message about so many calls Yeah “DA” So I pressed the number 1 key for checking on order of course I got someone immediately she said she was canceling my order b I don’t trust them. Good Luck. Try denying the charge with your charge company. Linda

I just happened to come across this site and was amazed at all the people in similar situations as mine. I too ordered what I thought was the free trial. Seems when you order the free trial you also sign up for “Managed Care” which is a recurring shipment and charge to your card. I tried the customer care number they gave on their website and it indeed is busy. So I called the number to order more. What do you know, they are accessible that way. The website to cancel is www.askavlimil.com or they give you the option through the recorded message when you call the Order number. I hope this helps someone out there get this to stop.

I am happy to report that after 5 calls, 2 faxes and a letter cc:’d to my attorney, the Better Business Bureau and Channel 7 On You Side - AVILMIL has finally REFUNDED me my $35 and the NSF fee caused by their unauthorized charge. Perhaps we are all idiots and should have read the disclaimer more carefully - but if this was my company and this many people had the same problem - I would re-consider my practice of business to avoid negative customer contact - or lack of it….Good Luck to all!

FYI…I just discovered you can obtain the “trial sample” for $4.95 by requesting a order form. This way you can send a money order and not have to release your credit card info. I still may do this :-)

It was very interesting to see how many people this product worked for….and (much more) didn’t work for. i was curious to know how old the people it didn’t work for are. I have heard a lot of post-menapause and during menapause…but I am MUCH younger than most who are thinking of trying this pill. Those of you who have had problems with your credit card being billed, thank you for bringing this to my attention. I am, also, one who does not pay 110% attention to fine print and see the word FREE and dismiss other things. This simply warns us to be careful. I think the whole idea of giving out ANY account number over the internet is completely moronic, though. Thank you, KAT, for giving me that bit of info about the order form. I plan on consulting with a physician to see if he knows of any side effects or results. I also plan on ordering IF i do happen to get that order form. I will post my findings as they go on.

Just for info: I just went to www.askavlimil.com and cancelled my order there (this option is on the left of the screen). At the same time I was on the phone cancelling it with a representative. Hopefully this will work. Maybe it will help some of you. Thanks for all the info!!!

I also tried the free trial of Avlimil. The problem is ladies, it says right on the website that you are enrolled in their “Managed Care Direct Program”when you sign up for the free trial. If you had read everything before you gave your credit card information you would have seen very clearly that it says you will receive shipments every month until you cancel. It also says that there is no money back guarantee. If you did not agree to this you should not have tried to get the free sample. As for cancelling, all you have to do is log on to www.askavlimil.com and hit the cancel managed care direct button. I had absolutely no problems and have not been charged anything since. You should really be taking responsibility for not finding out everything you can about the product before giving account information. Instead of trying to blame everyone else, do a little more research next time. Although I have not found this product to work, I do not blame the company. Maybe it works for some people and not just me, but I was aware of that possibility when I bought it.

believe it or not some of us DID READ the disclaimer and we do know about “MANAGED CARE” and www.askavlimil.com and are still having problems with this company. SO WHAT you had no problem - many of us have and the negatives out weigh the positive experiences - so we can blame anyone we want!!

GOD BLESS AMERICA!!

thanks all for your comments. i am a 46 year old mother who considered trying the product after watching the “slick ads”. I will not waste my time now. Female sexuality is such a complicated thing as compared to male. It takes us longer to get in the mood for some reason. That’s just the way it is. I believe that if my husband would spend more time warming me up, we would have a more satisfying sex life. If he doesn’t I’ll just satisfy myself.

I want to start off by saying thank you to MPUTT, you make a good point. Now to WHATEVER you say that you and others have read everything and knew about the MCD? If thats the case then why are you B*HING about getting the next shippment????? You knew it was coming. I’m sorry but some people are stupid and need to be held accountable for the stupid things they do.. You cant blame the company for your stupidity.

If you are still getting billed, contact your account holder and stop payment. On most plastic cards, if you can’t resolve the problem with the retailer they will credit your account. By all means do pay for it.
If the product description was read right, it says that it may take up to 12 WEEKS for maximum effects (minimum of 4), and most of you are BITCHING within a couple of weeks, &/or days. Some people have had positive effects, so give it a chance (at least 4-6 weeks), and then vent about it. But by all means, if you are not satisfied call your account holder and CANCEL!!!

Shut up princess!!! We can BITCH all we want!!! You’re STUPID is you think you can stop us with YOUR Comments!! If you don’t like it - don’t read it!!

I have only been using this product for a few weeks now. I don’t have any side affects or anything. I mean ANYTHING!! I ordered the $70 offer and I’m not yet happy with it at all. Well I used a credit card and few days later I canceled it so that they can’t use my card # to send me any more. I’m still hoping that it helps, but it has been 4 weeks and I’m still waiting.

Is there anyone UNDER the age of 40 who has tried using this product? I would really like to know this. I, also, agree with Princess. So Ms. I Agree, I think you are just upset with your own negligence and stupidity for not paying closer attention to what you read. Most of you who are complaining are like this. However, if it weren’t for these people, the problem may not have been addressed to other people’s attentions and warned them to reread the policy over again and NOT just attempt to receive free sex drugs.

Thanks ladies for the warning I called for the free samples just last nite. Called my bank this morning and cancelled my bank card. Had them issue another one with new numbers. Boy for all you ladies that got caught. I will get them back.

Thanks, from Louisiana

WOW…what an angry group - sounds like you all need some relief soon. “pabeartoyou” was tactful in cautioning us to PAY ATTENTION, but “Princess” and “angi” calling these ladies in need STUPID is simply TACKY!! I don’t think these women wanted free sex drugs - I beleive they were seeking help. You girls should watch your manners and perhaps this will help you in others areas as well…just a thought!

I ordered free sample in July, tried it for a couple of weeks, couldn’t afford the payment, so cancelled before my 30 day trial expired, which was Aug. 25th. I cancelled on Aug. 22, they billed me on Aug. 25th anyway. It took me until Oct. 1st to get credit. In the meantime, because of this unauthorized debit, I had an NSF check to my employer. I paid a $25 NSF fee to my employer and bank, and lost my job because of this unauthorized debit. I will now contact a lawyer, since I can get no saticfaction talking to the people over the phone.

Just wanted everyone to know that my bak has refunded my $35.00 and stopped payment on any future payments at no charge. Hope your bank can do the same

Linda

I, too, am a victim of the Avlimil Scam. I saw the ads on TV and called to order my free sample for just the $4.50 shipping & handling. Yes, they explained the Managed Care Program, and I specifically told them repeatedly that I did not want to participate in that because I couldn’t afford to do so at this time. Mine was not a credit card, but a checking account debit card. They took $35 out of my account that I was not expecting, and consequently caused me to have a NSF check and the fees. Luckily, my bank has NSF protection, so the check was paid, but I had to pay $25 NSF fee to my bank. I called the Avlimil people, and was told they had just shipped my next shipment. They advised me to mark it “return to sender” and when they received it, they would credit my account. Well, I might not be the most intelligent person in the world, but I am not totally stupid. So I took the package when it arrived to the Post Office and sent it Certified so they had to sign for it. I got my post card back 2 weeks ago from where they received it, but as of today, October 31, my account has not been credited. No one is stupid for trying to help themselves. But since I emphasized repeatedly that I didn’t want to participate in the Managed Care program, they had no right to take money out of my account. And, the samples did nothing for me.

Marcy

I am 41 years old and was desparate to find something that would help. One less thing to fight with my husband about. Something that would make me feel “normal”. Something that would keep me from feeling that there was something wrong with me. Low and behold I saw the Avlimil commercial like so many others and said to myself, “this has to be the answer”, it wasn’t. I called to order. I immediately signed up for the 3 or 4 months supply because I was told it would take at least a month for it to be effective (that should have sent up a flag right there). I figured after using up the supply I got, that was it and I wasn’t going to renew because it did not work for me. I know I didn’t sign up for the Managed thing because I still have the post-it I wrote on with the name and number of the lady I spoke to at their end who specifically told me her hours she worked so that when I was ready to order to call her. I received 2 more packages, I called the 800 #, waited for a few minutes, finally got a rep, she stated she was cancelling it as we speak and that I would not receive nor be billed further. This was just a few day ago. I hope all goes well but will keep a close I on my account to make sure.

I am not going to say this is a scam. I do not know anyone personally that it has worked for. I understand everyone is different. But for myself, it is like that miracle weight loss pill, there is no such thing. I do believe there are people who prey on the weakness of others, that there are people who come up with something to fill the needs of others, whether legit or not. Is this the case with Avlimil? I don’t know. I can only share my experience with others and let them decide for themselves. But if someone were to ask for my opinion on this product, I would advise them not to bother. Maybe someday women will have their own ‘viagra” but not this day.

I just wanted to thank all of you who've posted your experiences with the company and product. Putting yourself out there and showing how you were taken takes some serious guts! You're all very impressive! Thanks!

I have used Avlimil for the last 6 months, Nothing. Not one single change. I had better luck taking Soy Isoflavones! Guess I just wanted more “bang” for my buck, didn’t get it from this stuff! What a waste of time and money!

Received “free” supply today - read these notes and decided to cancel…..I called the toll free number (866) - yes, they were busy; but pushed “3” and immediately got a rep. She cancelled for me with no delay; I received confirmation number and her id; whole process took about 2 minutes; thanks to all for input…I am cancelling thru web site also just as precaution…maybe notes have improved this cancellation process…just offering some “hope” if you do decide to cancel. God Bless.

Hi, I am so glad I found this website. Reading all the postings really helped. Thanks to all of you for saving me money! I was thinking about trying it and changed my mind. I was prescribed Welbutrin a few years ago for stress. Although I wasnt on it for long, I found the side effects to be on the upside (Welbutrin kept me calm & seemed to stimulate my sex drive). I just thought I would share my experience with others. Hope it was helpful!

I wish I had read the feedback on this site before ordering this fraudulent product! I called about the free trial month and got suckered into a 4 month supply for only $72.00 something. At that time, they asked me if I wanted to signe up for their Managed care program which I did not. I said I wanted to try the stuff first. (they never did send the one month free) Then I started getting charges on my credit card. I have in the process of mailing back ( at my expense) 2 months. I have cancelled and I certainly hope it takes. DON’T ORDER THIS CRAP- IT’S A RIP OFF!!!

I am a 45 year old woman who just started taking the happy purple pill yesterday. Sorry I cannot tell you if it has worked for me, but I will be back on this site in 3 months to give you the scoop.

I can tell you that I did not blink an eye at the price since I feel 70.00 is worth a shot at being even somewhat normal again.

If it doesn’t work,….oh well,…try something else.

I can tell you I would try almost anything (except hormones) to WANT sex again and have it not be so painful (even with lubrication).

Talk to you all in 3 months!

Reading these postings is really sad!!! I was looking to jump on the happy purple pill band wagon for my wife. The hugging, kissing, hours of attention just dosen’t work anymore. She says she just dosen’t have any interest. Willing to try anything but I guess this is not it. I hope they can find something. It is not the sex but the intimacy that is missed. I wish I knew the answers to help her or more importantly help us. I think this problem causes more people to stray in their relationships. Don’t waste your money guys, this is not the answer we are hoping for!!!

Ladies. Aside from the guys that order FOR their women (which I think is wrong) You are looking for something to help you with whatever issues you are facing. They are big enough to make you want to call and order a product. Now IF you were really concerned about making a change in your life, THEN your stick it out for the 90 day mark and then make a decision. Even then, if you stay with the product for 12 months, they we give you all of your money back ( I heard you have to have the empty boxes, so keep that in mind) So IF the issues were bad enough to call, don’t you think you should give it a shot and stick with it? If not then maybe a pill isn’t the answer for you. Try therapy.

Guys. DO NOT ORDER FOR YOUR WOMEN. That is a turn OFF! You should talk about it before you get the BRIGHT IDEA in your head. So rude!!!

I think that we have all become so dependant on quick fixes (ie V-i-a-g-r-a) that we expect the same results in everything we do and buy. If you are looking for instant improvement, then I guess you will not be happy with using Avlimil. If you are patient and really want to try to make a change, then hang in there. They try to make it cheaper and more convenient for people to do so, and all anyone can point out is that “they charged us again.” Read people Read. Listen people Listen. Learn people Listen.

Oh yeah before I go. V-i-a-g-r-a does not work for everyone either, so consider that. :)

Gee, you think ‘xyim’ might of been an Avlimil reprasentative? Let me quote:

“Even then, if you stay with the product for 12 months, they we give you all of your money back..”

Hmmm. A little slip up there? So far NOBODY here has received the 12 month money back deal. Buyer beware. Sticking it out for 90 days will only result in lining Avlimil’s pockets with your 105 dollars. We are all smarter than to be suckered in for another ‘quick fix’. You can prove this by not participating.

There isn’t a simple pill currently available. I’m sorry, but it’s reality. One day when there is, everybody will know, much like the V-i-a-g-r-a success. Right now, I feel nothing but disgust for people who prey on others vulnerabilities.

I think the Avlimil issue should be a matter for the courts.

I wondered about his affiliation, one of the reasons I trimmed this three comments to one.

The give it 90 days is a commonplace of natural foods and supplement hucksters. Some medicines take time to have an effect. ‘Natural’ supplements aren’t unique in that regard. Chemicals don’t know if they came from a vat or a farm.

Even medicines that require time to show results will begin to manifest those results within two weeks.

I’m not a doctor nor do I play one on this weblog. I do make a point of trying to note stories of interest in Amorous Propensities Sexual Health archives.

Er, looking at the archive some of the entries are silly, some serious. Same is true of the Erotic Technology archives. When I started this weblog I’d mostly meant it to be funny. Until evil crap like Avlimil came to my attention. Take a look, maybe you’ll see something of use.

Richard

I am so thankful that I did a little research before signing up for the free sample pack! From now on I am going to live by: ‘if it sounds too good to be true, it probably is!’ Thanks to all those who told the horror stories, it has really pounded some sense into my head….

Well i am glad you cut my comments down to one. Now it doesn’t make sense. It would have been one, but it took me awhile to figure out that you had a filter on the use of the word v-i-a-g-r-a. Now it just panders to the lowest denominator of the discussion. Heck, I even think I sound like a rep now. Thanks Guy!! Censorship at its best to slant a view. Guys, I am not a rep nor do I play one on tv. There was more to my comments that would have clarified it a bit more. Thanks anyway. I enjoy read these posts.

Just for the record: the rep stated it would only take the first 30 days for it to “kick in”. I tried it for the full 4 months since I had the packs and had already paid for them. Still nothing. There was no way I was about to go on with this product that was not working for me after 4 months, let alone 12 months especially after hearing/seeing the lengths people had to go to just to get it canceled and/or get their money back. Imagine how hard it would have been to get 12 months of money back!

And as for xyim, you state you are not a rep but it also does not sound like you have tried this stuff either nor tried dealing with this company. You know, it is bad enough knowing that something is not going to help when you have the hope that it will, without having someone, who probably has no clue what it’s like, preaching to “stick it out”. Don’t be judgemental if you don’t have a clue!

I am soooo glad I read this web site. I just saw the commercial about Avramil and was curious. The free 30 day supply made me think, “Why not?” Well, you all told me why not. Thanks a lot. This has saved me from a huge headache.

I live in the jungles of central america and just saw a March 2003 issue of Prevention magazine..was very interested in the ad for avlimil, until i got to a computer to check it out. THANK YOU for all the insight….

I have been trying to cancell my membership, I have called they told me to try internet, I really need to cancel this cause I have been put on medical leave at work and they pull out of my visa and it will cause all me checks ect to bounce so will you please help thanks

Thank you sooooo much for posting these comments. I was on the website, about to sign up when I found this site and decided to read. I am a college student with a family on a fixed budget, and if it wasn’t for you ladies posting your experiences, I would have been in big trouble!!! I wish you all the best of luck in finding what works for you. I will update if I find anything.

Just have to throw my 2 cents worth in here. I am just about to finish up my second month of Avlimil. Actually, it HAS worked for me. Ever since my daughter was born 5 years ago, I have had no libido whatsoever. The whole idea of sex was unappealing to me. I have lost a good deal of weight in the past year, and thought that would help, it didn’t. I have had no urges or desire. I could still get aroused, but getting me even to agree was tough for poor hubby. Anyway, back to the Avlimil, it is very subtle, the changes, but I’ve always found hormonal changes (at least for me) to be very subtle. Let’s just put it this way: I’m no longer saying no, I’ve initiated more than a few times, and one morning just 2 weeks ago, I actually woke up feeling a physical need. I had forgotten what that felt like - had to wake hubby up and ask if he was up to the task! Even if it’s just the “Placebo Effect” it’s worth it to me. And yes, when I signed up on line, I read and was fully aware that I would be sent monthly refills until I choose to cancel.

Dear Mrs K, As previously mentioned, my comments were unjustly reduced. In the cut section I did mention that my girlfriend is on the product and is enjoying results from its use. The product started working around the 3rd or 4th week for her. So yes, I do know someone (closely) that is using the product. But thank you for mentioning me in your post.

sorry, also forgot. Mrs K. I am a man, so NO I would not have taken the product for myself. Although, I hear they are the same comapny that make Eynzte or something like it. But once again, thanks for mentioning me in your post :)

I just wanted to put my 2 cents in about Warner Health Care the company that puts out Avlimil. First I would like to say I am an ex-employee of Warner Health Care. For the record: They are scamming people. I worked there for a few months and fell for all their BS regarding the product. I thought it was a great product and the slick advertising that makes it look like a true prescription drug fooled me too! I have since found another job thankfully.

First I will say that Avlimil is not regulated by the FDA. So They cannot guarantee that the product will do what it says it will. They also cannot guarantee that each tablet contains the same concentration of ingredients or that they contain any of them. Avlimil also boasts that they have done a randomized double blind clinical trial which proves an 84% success rate. This clinical trial only lasted 3 months and only 49 women completed the trial. This is not enough time to positively prove the safety and efficacy of the product. They also boast a 91% reorder rate and since all orders are automatically renewed each month that would explain that statistic.

For those of you who think that it is all written in black and white on the website, I will tell you that they change their website and brochures frequently so many people who ordered this product may not have had the opportunity to read the “disclaimer” because it wasn’t there until a couple of months ago… long after thousands of people placed orders.

The reason I think this company is a scam is because Steve Warshak the owner, owns several other companies which distribute sexual aid products including Lifekey, Boland Naturals and others. All of these “sister-companies” use similar marketing techniques including automatic shipment. All of them also make it very difficult to cancel because you can’t reach customer care, or their “cancel website” doesn’t work, or the rep will flat out lie and say it is cancelled only to continue receiving packages that you didn’t order.

If you don’t believe me simply go to www.bbb.org and look up these companies yourself. All of them including Avlimil have unsatisfactory ratings with the Better Business Bureau.

So for all you naysayers out there protecting this company or supporting the product, please go see for yourself before you insult the people who have been taken advatage of. You might be in their shoes one day so have a heart.

The saddest part of all this, besides the fact that Warner Health Care and the other companies owned by Mr. Warshak, take advantage of the people looking for help, is that if Avlimil really did work, they are not properly marketing this product to allow people to try it and see if it is helps. When you try it you are setting yourself up to be scammed!

For those of you that contunue getting unauthorized charges to your bank accounts and credit cards… report your card stolen or change your bank account number. These are the only sure ways to prevent further charges to your account.

I hope this helps. Also file a report with the Fedral Trace Commission. If everyone who was scammed reports this company maybe Mr. Warshak can be stopped before he moves on to starting a newer sister-comapany with a new product to start scamming more unsuspecting people. He is a very slick snake oil salesmen. He really has this down to a science.

I wish you all the best!

1-866-834-1715 to cancel mcd and you have 21 days after the free trial is placed to cancel mcd so you wont get billed…. hope this helps some of you….sorry for the ones that it is too late. I know i sound like a rep, and I don’t care what people think, but I honestly wanted to help some of you out.

I am a male who started taking Avlimil after my wife had a positive response. My breasts are more sensitive and I am certainly more responsive and submissive. God bless Avlimil!

Hi everybody. Because I love you all I have some info to share with you. go to www.accesswhois.com. Type in avlimil.com.

You can get Warshak’s email address from there. It is listed in public domain. What a dork!! Happy emailing. I would post it here, but I like the moderator too much. Fight the power!! hehehe

oh yeah. To prove “lucy’s” point. Try enzyte.com and rovicid.com. I am sure there are others, but you we see a pattern emerging. Have fun y’all :D

yes i too was duped by the avlimil claims. also robbed by the automatic billing. but the worst part is that the pills smelled like ass. i just figured it was part of the selling strategy.

Well, what I’m starting to wonder is, besides the not-so-direct business practices this company seems to follow, DOES THIS PRODUCT ACTUALLY WORK??? I’ve seen a lot of “this product is junk” and I’ve seen a lot of “I love this product” (both of which are more believable from people who’ve used it for more than a week), but more than anything I’ve seen people unhappy with the “scam”. I’d be pissed too if I’d been put through all that runaround. I realize that this company is certainly not straightforward in their policies, but by now we’ve all heard the stories and have learned the lesson about the “free” trial. What I’m looking for now is less comments about the awful automatic-order experience (which sounds like it can be avoided if you’re verrrry careful) and more info about the actual product, so the rest of us can decide whether to risk swimming with the sharks, if it’s worth it…

“IAgree” you are a tool. you typed “is” instead of “if”, plus you got emotional on a PC screen when you were attempting to scold poor little princess. the dead giveaway of your actual problem I might add. believe me honey, this pill isnt gonna cure you of being a beeeiotch! you stop acting like a complete fool and some people may find you sexy, which in turn will arouse you and make you feel special, which will ultimately lead to your confidence in sexuality, and finally you may experience something that almost everyone else is experiencing right now. NO PILL WILL SOLVE ANY OF YOUR PROBLEMS WITH SEX!!! PERIOD. Try doing things a bit differently tomorrow, try something new, try something to get yourself excited for christ sakes. no pill is going to make you horny, what does make you horny is the feeling of having someone look at you for the first time and want to have sex with you. please tell me this has happened to you all. if not, change things now for the better and change yourself. become the person you always wanted to be and feel proud that it wasnt a stupid pill that gave you that change. change comes from within people, no one can do it but you. and dont try that bullshit Jesus freak rebutle. Im agnostic, and I am definitely a lot better off than all of you if this is really what you have let it come to. Richard, thanx for running a great site man. these pills are a joke. good luck, Im gonna go hump my baby. cya

BEWARE! These people are scammers! Order the “free” sample and they will need your credit card number for “shipping” but then they will KEEP CHARGING IT and sending you monthly supplies without your authorization!!!!!!!

Did “shut up” just criticize “IAgree” for mis-spelling? …”you are a T-O-O-L-…” did you mean “fool” - I think YOU let YOUR emotions get the best of YOU…RELAX buddy…Must be a guy…but you type like a girl…Who’s the F-O-O-L now!

I to saw the ad for avlimil. I purchased a $4.95 SAMPLE! the company sent me 2 months more at $35 a month a total of $70. I guess I failed to read the fine print that if I purchase the sample that they would start to their product monthly. I called avlimil and said I did not want the product and was told to mail back the two month supply for a refund. Only to find out that they only credited my account $25. I called them and was told in a very cold way that there is a restock fee. $45 that’s some restocking fee. I asked to speak with the department that handles this and was told there was no way to speak with someone. This company is not only selling a product that is worthless but is ripping people off.

I also ordered the FREE SAMPLE and only told the shipping charge would be put on my account. When another ordered arrived at my door..i called and they told me to send it back. No mention of any restocking fee. They never credited my account! So here I am, paying for something I no longer have, only wanting the free sample to see what results I would get (none by way). This is rip off. With their claim of selling 30,000 bottles, why the heck would there be a restocking fee? This company is ripping folks off left and right. My opinion, this is no way to run a business. If another payment to this company shows up on my credit card in December, believe me, I’ll be talking to a lawyer about it.

Most of the comments on this page are indicative of the hoards of people in this world who would rather be a victim than utilize what resources they have to take responsibility and attempt to solve their own problems. How can anyone even hope to have sexual satisfaction when one is so devoted to consuming their life energy in such pitiful displays of contempt for self and others. Consider the message sent to others and to self when engaged in such hateful and fear based activity. What one does and says in the world is heard by ones own subconscious(as well as others). If ones actions and words malign ones self, feeling good (for example; a satisfying sexual experience) becomes unavailable to ones self. If one focuses mostly on what is “wrong” and “right” in the world then that one may become a victim of “wrong” and “right” and solutions become overlooked. Ask the question, “Am I using this sight to further a victim/abuser complementarity or am I using it to solve my problem?”

we make managed care direct as clear and obvious as we possibly can — we do everything possible to make sure the customer knows they are enrolled in mcd - it’s on the website - it’s in the telephone order scripts - it’s in the brochures - it’s in the welcome letter they get with the free sample… it is ALL there!

mcd does two things - one for us, one for the customer

  1. by being enrolled in mcd, customers do get better pricing and free shipping - many customers are very, very happy to be on mcd

  2. from a simple sales perspective, yes - we want the customer to have to call/go online in order to cancel mcd —- this gives us a second chance to explain (sell) the benefits of avlimil —- what is wrong with that? - we beleive in the product and want every opportunity to explain what it can do if yo give it a chance to build up in your system!

anyone who chooses to cancel is immediately cancelled — customers have every opportunity to cancel before they ever get a 2nd shipment and many do - every single day!

our policy clearly states no refunds once product is shipped yet most of the time we still give the refunds - with just a $10 processing fee

as the founder and marketing/sales manager, i am very comfortable in the way we do business - we are a small company with a great product - we do our best to be more than fair - i wish some of our customers would do the same…

my email address is warshak@one.net and my direct line is 619-204-3600

if you have had a bad experience - or a good one! - with any of our products, i would be happy to discuss it - again, i believe we provide very good products and have alot of very happy customers.

as the marketing/sales director, it’s my job to promote and sell our products - i take pride in doing my job to the best of my ability!

Okay, as G-d is my witness, when I went on line to order the free sample there was absolutely no “fine print” or other caveats indicating I would be automatically enrolled in the MCD program. If there were any indication of the slightest string attached to ordering the sample, I would not have ordered. I reviewed everything thoroughly and satified myself that the free sample truly did not have any strings attached. I have been a victim of such bait & switch tactics in the past and consequently am extra-vigilant. Perhaps Avlimil later inserted the disclaimer language, but when I ordered, it was most assuredly NOT THERE. This of course, jibes with what one of the writers—a former Warner Health employee—stated: that Avlimil frequently changes it website. This is classic consumer fraud, which opens Warner Healthcare to a class action lawsuit. I hope someone pursues that, I will be the first to sign up.

Here is a website that has info posted regarding Avlimil and many other scammed customers posting complaints. If you go to the bottom of the page there is someone offering help for pursuing Warner Health Care further. I am not sure if it is legit but hey check it out. There is a phone number and a URL. I hope it helps!

All of the herbal ingredients of this pill are available from most herbal supplement places. For years, these same herbs have been recommended for vaginal dryness, lack of labido, etc. Many websites about menopause will suggest trying at least a few of them. I would suggest a good lubricant and a patient, loving partner. Works for me.

I too felt completely taken advantage of by this scam. I ordered the product for my sister hoping to help her with her failing sex drive. i wrote the following letter to Avlimil, but alas there’s no physical address to send it to. this is a scam:

November 18, 2003

To whom it may concern:

I am very upset that I am being charged for this monthly installment when I don’t believe it was clear at the time of order that I would be receiving more shipments. First of all, I didn’t order it for myself and I went back to the initial order form (free trail subscription) to see exactly where it says I would be receiving additional shipments and that page is not even there.

Also, how is someone supposed to know in less than 30 days if the product is even working for them? You shipped the second installment less than two weeks from the time I received the first one. THIS IS A RIP OFF! And I’m pissed. I demand a refund! No one explained this process to me and it wasn’t on the order page which no longer exists and I gave the order along with the literature to my sister who is the one who needs it in the first place. I want my money back!

I’ve read all the comments here and I agree some of you should of read the ad better. I had to have a total abdominal Hysterectomy and rebuild the bladder, rectum, vagina and lost both ovarys due to excessive bleeding during the surgery, ect, all July 1st 2002. I was VERY dry and was sick of all the slimmy lubricants. I tried the AVLIMIL for the 30 days and got no relief, but decided to keep trying as it may take up to 12 weeks for some ladies. I ordered the 3 month $101.00 package and have been taking it for over a year, I take it at bedtime each night like clockwork and it DOES work for me, very well. Being (hollowed out) and depressed about my situation, I did not give up on this product. After 2 months, I have my own lubrication back, plenty that is needed for a female to be comfortable and enjoy sex again. This really does work and I swear by it. During a surgery 2 months ago I was unable to take it as I had the meds from the Hospital and also was to painful to get up and take it everyday and guess what? I LOST my lubrication and sensation once again. As I got better I returned to the Avlimil and once again hubby and I are quite happy with the results, personal lubrication is best and less messy and made me feel like a person again. I am very satisfied with this product, Yes, I gave them a credit card number, BUT! I gave them one of those pre-paid credit card numbers, so if I don’t want any of thier products, I just don’t put any money on that card, if I do, I can use it to pay for it. The pre-paid credit card is wonderful for online ordering, if anything or anyone gives you a hassle, just don’t add any money to it.

If it sounds too good to be true…it usually is. Called to get info. on free sample and was asked to pay only $4.95 for shipping. I did not order my “FREE” sample. Instead, did some research on the internet and will seek any help from my professional. Thanks for the imput everyone.

I too had ordered the free 30 day trial offer for 9.95 shipping and handling because I live in Canada. They told me that I would be enrolled in the managed care program but I can cancel at any time I want. They were suppossed to take only the S&H fee out of my account for the first month, and every month after that, take the $30 charge after they send me my next pack. When I recieved my shipment, they had sent me 5 packs and charged me $146 Cdn. What a bunch of scammers!!! I am trying to reach them to get my full refund. Don’t ever call these people. You’d be wasting your money. Take it from me and from half these people on this page. DON’T FALL FOR IT!!!!

Yes Avlimil is a natural supplement and therefore if anyone did their research before trying the product should be smart enough to know that natural supplements do work different for each individual. Avlimil has never claimed to work for everyone and you should know that. Plus when you call they do tell you that you will be automatically billed and that you do have the choice to cancel. What, did you think that they were just going to give you a totally free sample? Give me a break. This is 2003 how would a company make any money doing such? This product has proven to be successful for many women, I know I talk to hundreds of them daily so lighten up and let them make their own decisions.

It is working for me! I’ve been on it for about a month and I plan on staying on Avlimil. I’m having wonderful results!

I am a current employee of Warner Health Care. I hate to say it but this company is the biggest scam ever. Right now if you call to get a credit for a cycle we sent after you canceled MCD they wont there is a hold on all credits. But hey dont think your alone in this in the past 2 weeks Mr. Warshak has cut our pay by $3.50 hr. but also cut the team leads as well, and Mr. Warshak or his Sister Sue didnt even go in to tell the team leads they sent their lawyer!!! Now how F—ked up is that???? Now I have been at Warner Health Care for all most 8 months and in my 8 months I have seen so many things happen. This company could care less about its customers and even less about it employees. Before we moved to our new building Mr. Warshaks sister Sue Cossman decieded there was to many people there just collecting a paycheck and not really doing their jobs so she fired them. This is how they firer you, someone comes over and tells you someone up front needs to talk with you and when you go up front someone else goes to where you was sitting and collects your things and takes them up to you. Now isnt that nice?? This company is so shitty they do everybody wrong. Mr. Warshak will try and justify the fact of why they are doing this to people, but I know as well as you know its bullshit. I am looking for a new job and hope to find one soon.

I wouldn’t be surprised if the people on here defending this product are actually employees of Avlimil. Like the lady who posted recently saying she’s been using it for 1 month and is having wonderful results. I’m not buying it. people, if you’re reading this and you haven’t purchased any products yet….DON’T!!!!! Someone on another message bopard just posted the original free trial webpage order form and NO WHERE on there did it say that you would be automatically billed for future shipments. NO WHERE!!! so stop telling us we’re stupid for not reading the small print.

I’m going to be contacting a lawyer and you should all do the same…this company needs to give us our money back. imagine how many people are out there who don’t even know about these message boards to even complain or know what’s going on. i think i’ll call my local television station as well. i live in OC California…the LA stations love to investigate and bust open these rip off artists. don’t just complain people…do something!

I’ve tried a free trial of avlimil for one month..thye never sent me anymore….those damn antidepressents kill my libido…catch 22 i guess…i was so excited but it didn’t work ….maybe it will take longer ..I don’t know…more pills..more false hope.

I tried this product for about 3 day before I couldn’t remember to take the pills. It worked for me that same day. Even husband noticed an increase in lubrication, however it is far to consuming for me to take this pill every day. I now have like 5 packages unused and I have no idea how to cancel my account, I went to the web sight askavilimil but I saw no link that would take me to a page to cancell online. I went into the cancel managed care and it was just a bunch of paragraphs. No links and one phone number. And of course customer service is closed today and it did not give me the option to cancell over the phone.

Anyone know where that link is to cancel my managed care?

I think it works but I’m not paying for anymore until I use up the 5 months supply I have and make sure that it works.

Christin

On November 24th, Steve Warshak, the founder and marketing/sales manager of Warner Health Care, posted on this thread and invited people to e-mail him their complaints, etc. While I was very skeptical at first, I decided to take a chance and see if the person that posted the message was truly the founder of Warner Health Care. It was!

Mr. Warshak immediately agreed to send me a complete refund, and I was overjoyed to learn that the credit ($105) posted to my account today! I finally have my money back! Mr. Warshak also said that he would give me a year’s worth of Avlimil for free. He honestly could not have been a nicer guy.

I think their customer service leaves a lot to be desired, but if you get the opportunity to talk to the actual man in charge, you’ll get results! As for the product itself, I definitely noticed an improvement. I actually felt some desire again, and I pounced on my husband more than a few times. =) Also, my orgasms were more frequent and a lot stronger. Of course, it could have been psychosomatic but— who cares? =)

Hi, I ordered the avilmil & wanted them to stop them from sending me anymore of the product. Problem is I have no way of reaching them & the number on the box that I received last gave a number to call but I get a recording telling me it’s no longer in service. What do I do Next? I also called information & when I dial Warner HealthCare,Inc they ask me to enter the extension number I wish to reach. Can someone please help me???????? Signed, Desperate!!!!

ok, I will flat out admit it.. I do work for the company and I am in the customer care section of the company. For some of the guests on this page that were not explained about the managed care program it might be true due to the fact that we did hire a 3rd party call center to help with our high call volumes. And they did anything they could to get the cust off the phone. ANd since we found out what was going on we terminated that service. However for those people who are claiming that there is no explanation online that is a farse! It is stated http://www.avlimil.com/mcd.html , http://www.avlimil.com/mcd.html … and the company has a rtn ply and just recently have revoked the $10 fee because it was upsetting too many customers. now as an offset for the $35 a month we do offer other plans, such as a buy one get one free (39.50), buy two get two free (74.50), buy 3 get 2 free (109.50), and a complete year ($200) now on the phone our sales rep do explain the managed care, however a lot of people hear the words free and don’t hear anything else. I have quite a few more women that call me happy with their product and reordering with us than like wise, Is the company perfect? no! But it is a brand new company and they are ironing out the bugs. When these ladies (or gentlemen) call they are told that we show that the pdt is effective for 84% of the women who take it AND IT TAKES 4-6 weeks to see initial results and results will peak at 90 days! IT IS A VITAMIN NOT A PERSCRIPTION MEDICINE! It needs time to build up. Women call in thinking it’s like viagra, its there to help but it doesn’t work IMMEDIATELY!!! So for what it’s worth, the pdt does work my girlfriend and one of her girlfriend’s are very happy with it, basically for hormonal balancing, but it may not work for everyone. For the complete details about the pdt go to, http://www.avlimil.com/ download the brochure, read it for yourself. The company is NOT a scam, nor is it a fly by night company. We help to satisfy hundreds of thousands of women WORLDWIDE!! Everyone is entitled to their own opinion, I am just asking you to get the full facts first

This pill is bogus. Like others I authorized only a trial offer of $4.95. My credit card has been charged monthly for $35. When I call the toll free number, I am told all customer reps are busy. I have return 3 month supply and have yet to have my credit card credit. This offer and company is a RIPOFF…..BEWARE! A class-action law suit is definetly in order. HELP.

This thread would be much more helpful (and interesting) were it not full of “victims” whinning about the money they “lost”.

Grow up, people. There’s not a product on the market that works for everyone and Avlimil is no exception. (And NO, I do not work for Avlimil or any affiliate.)

PS Richard: Your comment at the top of this form was the best reading on the board! :-)

I would like to thank you ladies. After reviewing your comments and experiences. I am opt not to buy this product. I was searching for this product for my partner. She suggested that I do some research on this product. Unfortunately, she has no feeling. I believe can be from the birth control. Which is the side effect. I hope once she is off it. Our lives can be normal. I wish you good luck. And thanks again for comments.

WOW, upon reading this I have a few inital observations:

  1. A lot of people do not read what they are signing. (They tell you plain as day they will charge you)

  2. A lot of people should not be spending money they do not have (IE: a NSF charge?????, and especially on only a 35 or 70 dollar charge?????? if it was 350 or 700 I could understand somewhat)

Now for those I haven’t pissed off:

I did the subscription thing, and nothing more than more lubrication and aching breasts. No effect on drive. (A shame) If you are looking for this to countereffect a bad partner, no dice aqnd you should know that. I was hoping for something to turn back time a litle and restore libidio, the partner is fine :)

I monitor referring IPs, ISPs, domains for this entry.

Thank all of you wonderful ladies for sharing your opinions and experiences. You have more than helped me make up my mind not to even bother with what seems to be just another lame attempt to appeal to the very real needs of women. Thanks again..

I also tried the ONE MONTH FREE scam and have been trying for 2 months to get credit for pills that were never opened and were returned. The pills made me sick to my stomach and now I am feeling sick all over again seeing them keep charging my credit card!!! BEWARE!!!!!!!If it sounds too good to be true, IT IS!!!!

Having an interest in and some knowledge of female sexual response, when I heard of Avlimil I came on line to check it out. As I suspected, it seems to be mostly a scam. But I’m saddened by the responses here, and how many women say they are so desperate to discover or increase their sexuality they will readily spend money… but WON’T bother finding out how to REALLY improve their libido.

Female sexuality is, as has been commented on, a very complex set of physical, emotional, and psychological responses. If you want to improve your relationship with your mate, start by improving your relationship with yourself. If you don’t feel good about yourself or don’t feel deserving of pleasure, it’s going to have a negative effect on your sexuality. More, many women were taught that ‘sex is dirty’ and that ‘good girls don’t have sex’ and so are left with the subconscious feeling that to have pleasurable sex is bad. Issues like these have to be addressed for the libido to improve.

For those who feel improved sexual desire on their part will help a failing relationship, forget it. Sexual issues in a relationship are almost never about sex, they’re about other more serious problems. Forget the ‘happy purple pill’ and spend the money on couples counseling to find and fix the REAL problem.

Nor is a pill going to make up for an inept or unwilling lover. The woman who said she thought it would help if her spouse would just spend more time ‘warming her up’ was absolutley right! If you’re not able or willing to talk to your partner about what pleases you, either get some help to learn how or get a partner you trust enough to talk to about it! Women deserve sexual fulfillment every bit as much as men!

One thing that CAN cause changes in physical response is menopause. But while a healthy woman with good sexual responses who enters menopauses will find changes in those responses, if she and her partner merely accept and explore those changes, the vast majority will find that sex may take longer but can still be every bit as fulfilling, especially when there is no longer any lingering fear of pregnancy. (For those experiencing hot flashes and other issues, try a supplement called “Change O’Life,” made by the VERY reputable company Nature’s Way, with a green leaf logo. They are a legitimate and highly respected company in this unregulated industry, and they don’t sell by scamming you, you’ll find their products at virtually every good supplement outlet.)

There are many sites and many excellent books available on the subject of female sexual satifaction. If you really want to improve yours, start by learning a bit about it and exploring what you really need to discover or restore sexual pleasure, wheather it’s learning about your own responses, teaching your partner about them, discovering how to bring new excitement to a long-term relationship, or resolving the other relationship issues that are taking their toll.

Remember: You are worthy of pleasure, and you deserve it, but YOU have to lead the way.

It is not even a matter of whether it works or not. This company is scamming people by sending unauthorized shipments and charging their credit card/debit card or checking account. WHY AREN’T THESE PEOPLE BEING SHUT DOWN? There have been several complaints filed with the Better Business Bureau and the Attorney General’s office. Numerous emails sent to news shows such as Dateline and 48hours. Something needs to be done!

It depends on how you paid for the “free” shipping to determine the best route to go to deal with this. First… calling them will get you NO WHERE! They are all trained to continue with this scam and they will refuse to refund you anything and even if they somehow agree, they won’t actually do it, or they will and it will only be $25.. and they still have access to continue billing you.

If you paid with a credit card, dispute the charge with your credit card company. Once this has been done, if they continue to charge the credit card you may have to have the cc company reissue you a new card with a new number.

If you paid with a debit card then it is a little more difficult. You may need to change your account number to prevent further debits, but getting your money back is unlikely.

Either way you need to file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau and the Ohio Attorney General’s office! The Better Business Bureau might be able to get you a refund. Good Luck!

I read all the responses to Avlimil thinking only about my misfortune in being charged unknowingly, and then I read the comments from Richard at the bottom. Suddenly my situation doesn’t seem so bad.

“There will be weeping and gnashing of teeth” Luke 13:28

I came online to order Avlimil and was surprised to see this site, as I did not notice it last week when I was researching Avlimil. I’m glad I found you this time and it changed my mind about ordering. I did read the fine print and understood the 12-month money back guarantee and the monthly program, so that was not my issue. My issue was if the product works. The vast majority have confirmed for me that, indeed, this is another “wish” pill. It’s so sad that women are so very desperate to do something to make themselves more sexual. If it is for our own pleasure, that is one thing. However, in most cases it is the desire to feel sexual in order to be a better partner to our loved one. Why is it that women have been expected for millinium to be available to satisfy their men’s needs, but even in this 21st century those of us who are asexual (and okay with that) cannot ask our men to deal with it as we have for so many years? In other words, why is sex such a big deal? Too bad that so many partnerships are lost because of this one, small part of an entire relationship. So much for honesty, trust, history, respect, etc. It all comes back to sex. Sad.

Hi there. Welp, I was seriously thinking about ordering this, but now I am not. Sounds like so many other scams I’ve been suckered into in the past.

Thanks to all for taking the time to post here. It’s much appreciated. Good luck to all. We are all in the same boat……. (and some of us better get laid soon — temper temper! LOL)

I had the same problems with Avlimil as everyone else. They charged me when I told them that I didn’t want the product. I used my credit card so thank goodness I could call my cc company and tell them what had happened. The cc company I have is investigating and they gave me the credit back on my account. I also cancelled the credit card I had and got a new one so that Avlimil can’t do this to me again.

Avlimil misrepresented their “free” package once again! I adamantly indicated to customer service that I declined the ‘year’ service upon ordering the ‘free’ month supply. Now that I have been charged I called customer service who in turn apologized with “sorry it appeared to be represented in that manner” - The time delay for disputing a credit charge allows for avlimil to get the second month charged to your credit card. I returned the first package received marked: cancel/return to sender/refused; however, Avlimil has no record of the return! Does the product work? Well, I just didn’t realize any benefit personally. In retrospect, I have had a recurrance of (previously managed) hot flashes and am just beginning to wonder if the avlimil may have had something to do with that! I don’t believe there is anything honest or good about avlimil. Buyer beware! Tammy

Thank you to all who have been so honest about this product. I was thinking about ordering this but have since changed my mind after reading your testimonies. All of you have helped me and hopefully many others out there looking for help! Thanks again!

Wow! I just received my “free” supply a day before I found all of your comments. I called my credit card company to prevent further charges. Unfortunately, they cannot prevent a specific merchant from charging but they did happily agree to change my account number to prevent any further charges. Good Luck! I guess my poor husband is just going to have to deal with a sorry sex life. After giving birth four times, what can he expect?!? It is probably best. With my luck, I would just get pregnant again.

Please cancel any further avlimil from coming to me. I never ordered it and have been charged 30.00 dollars for it. I have tried to cancel before with no luck. I was still charged 30.00 that I did not have. Thanks Diane

For those of you being charged multiple times when you asked to not continue - why aren’t you disputing the charges with you bank or credit card company. If you didn’t authorize it then you rightfully don’t have to pay. Just call up your bank and inform them that you were charged for something you did not authorize. You’ll get your money back right away.

Also - Side note: I had hoped to get some of this for my lady too. Decided against it after seeing these horror stories. Sadly I hardly even know how to flirt with her any more. Nothing is working any more. Sucks to not be as close sexually as we once were but apparently its only a big deal to me.

Thanks girls, I won’t call for any free expensive libido pills that don’t work. Saw the TV Ad and went surfing for tele number. Glad I found you first.
PS - - QUICK FIX FOR CHARGERS OR DR ACCESS.
CALL BANK/CHG CARD PROVIDER. TELL THEM YOU’VE LOST YOUR CARD (OR CKBOOK). THEY’LL CHANGE YOUR ACCT NUMBER AND SEND YOU A NEW CARD (or cks). NO CHARGES ARE ALLOWED TO YOUR OLD NUMBERS BY ANYONE FOR ANY REASON, AND BANKS WILL NOT REVEAL YOUR NEW NUMBERS TO ANY MERCHANT.
Repeat billing solved. The only inconvience is you have to wait for new card or cks to arrive in the mail. Cards: usually 2-5 days. New checks can take longer. Ask your bank before deciding what to do.

I heard about this product on a TV commercial and decided to try it. I made an appointment with my gynocologist to discuss it with him. I can not take testosterone because of medical problems. He laughed when I asked him about avlimil and literally pulled a sample he had just been sent out of his trash can. He said that he would not recommend it, but said that if I wanted to try it, he had no objections. I took the sample and started to take it. I had no results after two weeks, but decided to order more and give it a chance. When I called I asked questions about customer satisfaction and was told that thousands of doctors were recommending it and women were having great results. I got talked into ordering a 5 month supply for $109.00 which was some kind of “promotional deal”. I did not find this web site until after I placed the order. If I had done my research before ordering, I would never have placed the order. If you read the fine print about getting your money back for a year’s supply of avlimil, you will see that you have to keep extensive documentation about your daily results when taking avimil and return all the empty packages in order to get your money back. In other words, there is no way that anyone is ever going to get their money back if this product does not work. AND GUESS WHAT IT DOESN’T WORK! I feel like a total idiot for falling for this slick advertising. There is no way that these ingredients are going to increase anyones libido. This is a big scam that is making a lot of people very rich. I have been taking avlimil for 6 weeks and it has done nothing. They tell you that 12 weeks is the time that you should see optimal results. Isn’t it funny that you have to buy at least a 3 month supply to get these results. If they sucker everyone into spending over $100, just think of all the money they are taking in. Also, my five month order came in a cheap brown envelope with nothing else. It looked like a child just stuck the 5 boxes in the envelope and sent them out. No more expensive advertising and packaging needed after they’ve got your money. I will be very surprised if this product is even available a year from now and if the company is still selling it or is still in business under it’s present name.

I’ve been using this product for 5 months now and it has worked wonders for me. If you read the instruction it says that full results will most likely not be achieved for 12 weeks and I agree it’s expensive to pay for a 3 month supply. But I stuck with it and it has proved to be worth it for me. I do not however appreciate how they charge your account 35 dollars a month after you order the 4.95 trial. But it has really helped my libido and my husband definitly agrees!

you can obtain the “trial sample” for $4.95 by requesting a order form …

How can I get this?

I went online to sign up for a free sample of Avlimil without even checking out what other people had said. Only afterwards did I read the comments on this site and I was afraid of them charging my credit card incorrectly. First thing the morning after I placed my order, I called to cancel everything, but the girl told me that the free sample had already been shipped. I said that was ok—I didn’t care about 4.50 for shipping, but I wanted any future shipments canceled. (You have to read the small print on the site. Getting a free sample automatically enrolls you in a monthly shipment for about $35 unless you cancel.) She said it was taken care of but then next day I discovered that my card had been charged for an additional $104! I was afraid I’d never see the money again, and I even had my credit card put under “stolen” status so they would have no chance of charging me again. But another call to customer service was much more helpful—the next rep told me that since I had called within three days of ordering I should have been allowed a refund, and that the other girl was wrong for not warning me about the $104 when she could obviously already see it in her computer. So I mailed the package back, unopened, with a letter detailing the situation and I did get a full refund a day after my package was delivered to them. So maybe this company’s customer service technique is changing since I actually did get results, but be warned! I don’t think all of your sexual woes can really be fixed with a little pill, anyway. I have to be honest with myself—a real change in diet, exercise, and an effort to do what truly makes me happy in life would probably help a lot. It’s just finding the will and energy to make those changes. Good luck! PS Screaming or getting mad at customer service people will get you absolutely nowhere (and won’t do much for your libido, either)

I agree with some of the other postings regarding the “fine print.” There was NO mention of automatic enrollment for this crappy product. believe it or not, there a many consumers that do read before buying and I believe the website has changed recently to indicate the automatic enrollment. I was on hold for over 10 minutes then disconnected when I called to cancel. I called back only to wait for an additional 15 minutes before getting a live rep to say that it would be cancelled. Ladies beware!!!! Don’t get suckered into this. Remember, the ladies on the commerical are just actors that are paid with the $$$ that we spent on this crap to say anything.

absolutely everyone who’s been screwed by this sneaky, scummy, outright scam needs to go to the better business bureau,

http://www.cinbbb.org/home/home.html

and register their complaint along with mine and everyone else’s. the more complaints, the more likely you are to get your money back.

fck avlimil, btw. i’m 21, have no idea why my sex life is so ‘dormant’, and somehow missed seeing the auto-enrollment policy along with notification of a complete lack of honest, helpful, customer service. everyone i talked to was ridiculously rude and pretty much the gist of what i heard from ‘gary, the manager’ was “haha, we have your money. fck you.” i cannot believe these business practices. i told the @sshole i was reporting them to the BBB and i did, immediately afterward. good luck everyone, in taking down this disgusting scam.

I tried Avlimil for approx 4 months and it didn’t work for me. Also, when I tried to cancel my account using their web site it requires you to indicate a reason for canceling — but they didn’t have the choice I wanted to pick which was “product didn’t work”; instead, I was forced to pick “product not working as fast as desired”. Apparently they’re not interested in the true reason from the thousands of us who found that their product doesn’t work. Also, their “money-back satisfaction guarantee” is another scam… it states you must use the product for 12-months before submitting for the refund… no thanks, I’ll cut my losses now.

I saw an ad, and thought that it might help my wife and I. My next step, as it would always be, was to check on the internet to find any and all information I could about the product and the company. Of course what I have found is not encouraging, so I will not be trying any trials at all. The problem I see with some of the comments here that state: “don’t give out your credit card over the internet”[sic], is that it’s not the act of giving out your number on the phone or internet that is the problem. It is the company that you are doing business with. The internet, for better or worse, is the way that much business is conducted these days. Credit cards have built-in remedies for fraud. Of course, the best defense is a good offense, which means researching any company before you give them your info….

I tried the MBC for my wife, who faithfully took the avlimil for 4 months. She was fully past menopause but began spotting after three months, and it now appears that she has developed uterine polyps. I do not know if there is any relation, but I am (hopefully) going to cancel our shipments immediately.

I have just had an amazing time in Canada. Every time the TV was on, this commercial came on for avlimil. Now, having had a serioulsly up and down libido for years, I thought,”yeah Ok, Ill get home and Ill check this product out”. I have to say to anyone who even considers this..DONT! My research has led to lots of disappointing reviews and SCAM WARNINGS. This would never be allowed to be marketed in the UK - not in a million years. So, Im going to help all you pre-menopausal women. Im 27. The lack of libido is down to two things in my opinion. One is your partner. Two could be the contreceptive pill. I was on the pill for 10 years when I just stopped taking it and guess what ladies? Libido comes back…slowly. The partner was still wrong though so I left him. Libido fixed. Think about this very carefully. We are complex creatures - libido may be reduced by certain pills but there aint no way that any pill will increase it! THANX FOR BRINGING ALL YOUR COMMENTS TO EVERYONES ATTENTION - IF YOU CANT BUY IT IN THE UK, ITS VERY PROBABLY A SCAM!!! Good luck. x

I haven’t bought the product. Don’t think I am going to bother with the hassle. But I think the buyer and the seller is to blame. The seller should not be giving out just a month’s free sample. Why? For two reasons: it cheapens the value and b) people will expect results in 1 month in this vi**gra quick fix age. They claim that it taks about 12 weeks to feel the effects so why are they giving out only a month. Most people are complaining that after 2 weeks it didn’t work.

From what I can see on this page, the buyers are also to blame. Nothing is totally free and you have to be very careful buying anything that is not govt. approved. That is why the FDA is there so qualify products. Read the fine print. Most people are complaining that after 2 weeks it didn’t work. Lastly, I went to a health show today and I learned that the fact is that women over the age of 25 (w/o emotional, mental or physical ailments to be the cause) start to lose their hormonal balance could be the possible reason - changes in Progesterone. So the fact that there is none in the pill to level it out makes me wonder about it’s effectiveness. If the prez would like to contact me to speak further on this, I would be open to discussing some fair analysis. All he has to do is leave another message for me and I will email him directly. Good luck to all of you because I am suffering and I mean suffering without this libido thing kicking in! I am going to try hypnosis, then yoga, before I consider taking any type of medication. I don’t want to try a “Ephendra” type product.

Just to let you girls and guys know, if you had actually read the website when you ordered Avlimil, it says in plain English that you will be billed monthly if you don’t cancel prior to when they ship. Also, that you will not be granted money back unless you buy for a whole year. Don’t whine and complain when you don’t take the time to read what you are signing up for. If you don’t believe me, the following was taken from the webiste word for word: All free offers, as well as other clearly marked Managed Care Direct offers, include automatic enrollment in our Managed Care Direct Program and will receive a 30-day Cycle of Avlimil approximately 5 days before their current cycle runs out. Customer’s credit card will be billed the Managed Care price of only $35.00 on the day product is shipped, unless they cancel before the date of shipment.

There is no obligation to remain on Managed Care Direct, and you can discontinue at any time. There are no refunds for orders once shipped.

If after purchasing a full 12 months’ supply you aren’t completely satisfied with the results, we’ll give you a full money-back refund. Customers must have taken Avlimil for 12 consecutive months.

Duh…

If, after all the comments on this blog, you are still interested in trying Avlimil without the hassles of dealing with the “free trial”, try buying a few months worth on eBay. From what I’ve seen, 30 day packs are selling for close to list price (around $30-35).

The only cure is to look at what is preventing you from sexual feelings. If you can escape them, a bottle of wine and/or something with ephedra will always give you the urge to has sex with your husband, no matter how repulsive you might find him. Or the best cure, get a vibrator, and don’t tell him! It will make you alot happier.

I am SOOOOOOO glad to have thought enough to type in ‘avlimil’ into a search engine this morning as research into this product i’m interested in taking. it took me all day to read through all the comments and i’m still not sure if i’ll try it out or not, but i feel better at having good and bad opinions/feedback.

i’ll be 29 in a few months and have a low libedo. i also agree a bit with ‘just returned from UK’ who talks about the birthcontrol pill. i quit taking that a few months back and my libedo did increase around my periods….. sure, i have to put up with menstrual cramps and acne again, but atleast around my period i get horney.

i’m not sure what i’m going to do; i did look into the ingredients of avlimil and they’re just a bunch of tree hugging herbs - probably can pick up bottles of the stuff in it’s best form from gnc or a natural store. i’ll keep researching before i spend my hard earned money! but i wanted to say THANKS!!!!!! to everyone who took the time to share their experiences!

FYI - To all of those that still want to try Avlimil for themselves but are afraid of getting ripped off and taken advantage of, try e-bay. The stuff is selling like hotcakes there, mostly by people who are stuck with unopened packages that they don’t want and that the company won’t reimburse them for. You’ll also find it’s a lot cheaper, on average $15/month, some auctions for less. I suppose there are some risks buying from a private party, such as if the product caused a problem you wouldn’t have legal recourse, etc. Food for thought, anyway.

People, what’s wrong with you?

It states CLEARLY that by accepting the free trial month, you are automatically enrolled in Managed Care Direct. It also clearly states (not in fine print) that you WILL be charged $35.00 per month to your form of original payment, be it debit or credit card. READ before you buy.

If you do not want to give out credit card info, simply ask for an address to send a money order to for your Free Trial. go to www.4avlimil.com and email or call asking for the form to obtain your free month at no risk. All the information is right there on the site

God gave you eyes for a reason … open yours.

As for the product it’s self … I ordered it and am in my first week and 1/2. I am going to give it the full 12 weeks. I am 37 years old, love my husband dearly but have lost all sex drive, so if it has a snowballs chance in hell of recovering what we once had, we are going to try it. I remember when I did have a drive and I WANT IT BACK, so if $35 a month for 3 months works, I’ll be buying the stuff in bulk.

By the way, I have had no problems with my credit card and called customer care to make sure I will not be charged the $104 some of you are talking about … I recorded the conversation on the phone, telling the service rep that I was doing so first. I guess it never hurts to cover your ass a little too.

I’ve been on Avlimil for about 40 days. I noticed that the pills in my second shipment had an offensive smell. I stopped taking them a few days ago, but yesterday noticed a slight change in lubrication.

I called the company & tried to get an explanation about why they smelled. Of course, the only “live person” you can get to is a person who just takes orders.

The response when I asked her why my pills smelled was that, “they came from the other factory.” She couldn’t tell me what/if anything was wrong with my shipment & said she would send me another batch. (She did say that some of the pills have a smell & are darker purple.) She got very frustrated when I kept pushing to speak to her supervisor or someone involved with the production of the product & she hung-up on me. (THERE IS NO WAY I’M GOING TO TAKE ANOTHER PILL UNLESS I GET A SATISFACTORY ANSWER ABOUT WHAT I’VE BEEN PUTTING INTO MY BODY.)

I called back & talked to another woman who, once I explained that I wanted to talk to someone in charge who could answer my questions, gave me some telephone #’s—none of them got me to a “person,” but she seemed to care.

I’m about to write a letter to the company copying the FDA & any other agency I can think of. I will call my credit card company & tell them to refuse any further charges & get a refund for my 1st order.

I encourage anyone who is concerned with the quality of the product should write to the FDA as well.

To: Think SMARTER

Lighten up! Your superiority complex is not very “attractive” if you know what I mean. Based on their televised offer, I called Avlimil/Warner’s toll-free number and ordered the supposed free sample and agreed to pay S&H only. No one explained to me what being enrolled in their bogus program, which is nothing more than a scam, is all about. I figured I would just receiver advertisements and other offers.

I am currently disputing the $35.00 through my credit card company and I wish good luck to anyone else who was lied to by these charlatans and is seeking restitution.

Well, what can I say. I have been kicking around the phone number to call for Avilmil for months now, lucky for me I am such a procastinator.

I am amazed though at some of the mis- information about companies that have a product to sell. I take herbal supplements and often, too often, find myself ordering products off T.V. and from other sources just to see if they are what they claim. Bear with me, I ordered some herbal diet pills called Diet-zx and they were shipped to me for just the shipping price, and my credit card was not billed for anything I did not request. The pills were free, however, they did try to sell me other things which I refused. My point is there are legitimate companies out there, you have to be careful but if you get snagged, call your bank or c.c. company, I have read many good suggestions about how to stop this in the above notes.

I would also like to address the issue of low libido in women. Currently, I do not have a male partner, but am having a problem even being interested in men sexually. I love them, but right now I don’t seem to desire them. There are many reasons why women experience lack of interest, from just being too tired to more serious issues as in menopause and multiple births. Myself, I am a breast cancer survivor and while going through a mastectomy and reconstruction has left me far less than what I was physically, I am still alive. Chemo put me into premature menopause and now I experience dryness because I no longer produce the necessary hormones. Hormone replacement therapy is out because it could cause my cancer to return. Anyway, the only thing I have ever used that actually increased my desire is cannibus. However, it doesn’t help with the dryness. I not advocating anything illegal, just that it helped me.

I more thing, we should all be more wary about taking anything over the counter or by prescription blindly, anything and everything can have side effects that can be harmful.

Thanks for listening, its been enlightening. And thank you Richard.

Thanks for the OVERWHELMING responses to the Avlimil issue. I am a 30 something mother of 2 (the most perfect children in the world) and married to a pretty great guy ( faults and all ). I have had a decreased sex drive for some time. I dont even think of sex. My husband has to remind me that is has been so long since our last encounter. I have made a commitment to him to have sex every Sunday night, wheather I am in the mood or not. I AM NEVER IN THE MOOD. It has been difficult. HOWEVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I have spoken to my Gyno. and he said that he has no advice, but he said that he could give me a prescription for Testesterone Creme. I was ready to give it a go. He never did any test, but asked me to let him know how the creme is working. It has been less than one week and I can say that I AM A CHANGED WOMAN. I think about sex so much more, but not so much that I can not attend to my children or my life duties. The other night my husband asked if there was a chance that I may be interested and I said no. I was tired, just got a new book, and I was mad at him for just petty little things that had happend that day. Well, that night he said that he would rub my back and if I felt like anything more he would be happy. That has never worked in the past, but that night I was persuaded to engage in the most honeymoon night of lovemaking. We (my husband and I) were SHOCKED. The testesterone creme has worked for me. I now see men at the store and think wow, you look really good. Now the bad side is that not only do I have the sex drive of a teenage, I am afraid that I am going to have the skin (acne) of a teenager too. I have never had a skin problem, but in the past 4 days I have gotten 5 really deep zits. YUCK! I hope that it will level out. I dont look terrible yet, but only time will tell. The other thing WAS the cost. Insurance will not cover it ( god forbid someone admit that sex is a component of a healthy life ), but after seeing how much Avlimil is the creme is not too bad. The creme which is about 87$ for roughly 5 months. IT is a compound meaning that the pharmacy has to make it up. IT is not made by a pharmacutical company. Thanks again so much for the posting. I think that my acne and lower cost will be something I will stick with.

Try to ask your GYNo for help. Mine did not think it would help much, but IT HAS !

thanks kath

All I can say is….

“Thank You”

for providing a forum for this information. I too have been kicking around the idea of Avilmil and after finding your very enlightening archive… I’ve kicked the idea of Avlimil to the curb !

Back to the GYN,

Thanks Again,

PJ

ok give it to me straight. Is there anything out there for women? ANYTHING please i need help before i loose my spouse.

Thank you all for the comments. I ordered a pamplet from them and was ready to sign up until I started looking around. I don’t think my biggest problem is them charging my credit card, I believe it is the “product” not working.

Sparky, and everyone, I am happy that I stumbled on to this wesite regarding avlimil. I too, almost ordered some, but now, I’ll stick with what I know works for me. I’ve been taking Stamina-RX for Women and it works for me. You don’t have to take it every day, just when you want the extra “oomph” for the night—or day.

I am multi-orgasmic as it is, but that stuff just makes everything even MORE sensitive and easily “triggered.”

What I see here is a bunch of hens gathering ‘round the next rooster they want to murder. If you can’t spare the change, don’t spend the dough. And, as is oft the case with women, they need something to b**ch about…the latest “scam”, their men, their libidos or various other injustices about life in general.

You’re all ready to jump on the ol’ “they ripped me off bandwagon”, as soon as you see something negative, I can only assume thinking that this will ingratiate you more to the “sisterhood” of self-empowerment. Yet, very few have actually followed the prescribed protocol for the product. “Ohhhhh, my oh me….I saw all you calling this a scam and I IMMEDIATELY cancelled my order”. Do you think the people on this site actually give a rats ss about you? It’s a shame this has turned into one huge b*ch session instead of a forum for arriving at some hard, cold calculations. If the product states that it takes X amount of time to start working, then you cancel after your first shipment, how can you legitimately complain that it didn’t work? Or, better yet, even post to this forum? Maybe it is a scam…I wouldn’t know….but it appears that all most of you are doing is grinding an axe and perpetuating the rumor mill.

I own 2 businesses. I want/need hard, cold facts to make an informed decision. All I seem to have gotten here are a bunch of angry “self-empowered” feminines who are more concerned about sharing their stupidity with a bunch of others. WHAT ARE THE FACTS? Will the product work or not? Is the company’s claim of “84%” accurate? What are your ages? Have you or have you not had a hysterectomy? Children? How many? When?

Spare me the cheap shots about grammar or spelling or…oh, I don’t know….how I sound like some butch in PMS rage. We sit around and gripe and complain about the injustice of it all without putting forth information that will be helpful to others.

While I understand this isn’t a medically monitored forum, I’ve seen some good posts regarding the use of testosterone creams and the like. How often are these products effective? Are there any side effects? What about those of us who are breast feeding small children currently? What are the safety issues associated with it? Sure I can ask a gyn, but I’m asking YOU. What are the facts?

Let’s all just cut through the hubris and get to the facts, instead of this ad nauseum complaining about how weak we are and our ineptitude at interpreting sales presentations and marketing material, to our own detriment.

My God, I hope many of you never try to buy a car by yourself.

Take a small dose of esctasy two hours beforehand and you’ll have the best sex of your life. Lasts about 6 hours, f your man can last that long.

i have read everyones complaint on this site and here is what i think frist read and understand and ask questions first before buying do your homework as if you were buying a home. the product said it took 12 weeks ok try it for the 12 weeks if not satisfied then take action, dont expect a mricle in 2 weeks thats not what it said.and as far as billing you need to learn the terms before proceeding again get all the details and in writting. i dont think that the problem lies so much with the company but the consumers lack to do thier homework. and if you are the few that has done there best with lack of results then may be you all should get together and put a class action law suit against this company , but then again you know you probly wont have a chance in hell of winnig because you didnt read or listen now i have nothing to do with this company im just amazed at the people that dont do the right things to keep them from getting in kind of sistuations. for you see i am to a 36 female with no sex drive and i now believe that stress anf how you feel about yourself is for the most the cause of your sex drive and who know it may be just in the air we breath today . so my best advise to all of you that have a real bad dealing with avilimil and you feel you are on the right is get together and stand up and fight go get attoneys and get a class action law suit against them and shut them down. by the way thank all of you for changing my mind about avilimil i will keep looking and reasching

I’m Pamela Butler, the new Director of Customer Care who is in charge of customer care for Berkeley Premium Nutraceuticals, the holding company of LifeKey Healthcare, Warner Health Care and Wagner Nutraceuticals. I wanted to introduce myself and offer my e-mail address to any Enzyte, Ogoplex or Avlimil (add other brands after launch) customers who have questions: pbutlercc@warnerhealthcare.com

We complete more than 200,000 transactions a month, the vast majority of which result in happy and satisfied customers. Our brands are very popular, and as a result, we have very loyal customers.

I would also like to explain our customer care policies, which are the strongest in the industry:

  1. We follow a policy of no-hassle returns. Customers who ask for their money back receive credit for returned items.
  2. We offer customers a number of flexible payment options, all of which are clearly described.
  3. We are the only nutraceutical company to offer customer service through a 1-800 number, 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
  4. We have grown rapidly due to the success of our brands and have invested heavily in the best infrastructure and customer care technologies to meet the growing demand. Our enormous growth in the past had created issues for us in answering the large volume of customer transactions. We are confident now that our infrastructure and commitment are the best in the industry.
  5. When we issue a refund, we credit the customer’s credit card immediately. But, credit card companies often take days or in some cases weeks to post these credits to customer accounts. If you’re wondering about the status of a credit, please contact your credit card company for an update.

Our goal is to satisfy every one of our valued customers. We understand that at times, there will be isolated incidents where we cannot satisfy someone no matter what we do and how hard we try.

If you have any questions, please contact me at pbutlercc@warnerhealthcare.com We will respond to you within 24- 72 hours.

Thank you for your business.

Sincerely,

Pamela Butler Berkeley Premium Nutraceuticals

I have been married for 8 years, and my wife suffers from a gynocological condition known as Vulver Vestibulitous (chronic vulver pain). “CHRONIC VULVAR PAIN MAY BE A HIGHLY PREVALENT DISORDER 16 percent of women may have suffered during their lifetime, yet only about half seek treatment” Chronic vulver pain can cause a severe decrease in sexual desire. it’s obvious why, so I won’t discuss in this forum.

As a spouse of a suffering wife, I know what it is like from the receiving end of someone who has low sexual drive. It almost caused our marriage to end. If you would like more information on Vulver Vestibulitous, please contact the NVA (National Vulver Vestibulitous Group). They have a great webage www.nva.org. My wife just had the sugery and is on her way to recovery (keeping fingers crossed)!

I am posting to this blog because I was interested in understanding more about post surgical treament capabilities for women to help increase libido. To my distress, it appears avlimil is probably not the answer.

Good luck and make sure you tell your friends that women shouldn’t needlessly suffer from chronic vulver pain!

THANK YOU, I recently watched the commercials on ADVIMIL and was greatly interested. However, after reading the previous messages I have decided this is definitly not a durg I am willing to throw good money away for. I feel if the government can take a chunk of my money each week and call it taxes, the least FDA could do is use it to keep con artist like these from taking what little bit we have left. WOMEN WAKE UP AND REALIZE, THERE IS MORE TO LIFE THAN A GOOD PIECE OF ———-!!!!

Hello, I am Tom, 43… I developed sexual erectile problems after a fall at the Nuclear station in NC. ( during construction )

My wife, a sort-of distant woman. left me right after my workmans comp expired and I aquired a much lower paying job that my now weakened back could handle…

On the plus side, I have been a vitamin eating vegetarian since age 21. and as a construction welder lived most of my life with a ( long now missed :-) 28 inch waist and 16 inch bicepts. still have the chest and arms though thank god or I doubt women would even talk to me ! I thought women liked me for the fact that I am an intellectual, philosopher, ( a buddhist actually ) and could write poems and sing… yes, we were not “all ” bikers on work release behind those welding hoods ! smile but I knew many who were :-) so… just MOST of us ! :-)

Now that I know how women treat me since my penis don’t work well anymore, I must say that I do not have the optomistic romantic view of women that I used to have. a loss for me, but fact is fact. It took me a very long time to find the angel that loves me now and guess what… she grew up a tomboy hated her femininity, could not STAND to have her nipples or clitoris touched as it caused her to cry, cringe, etc… and not just people, she got the same things from loose bras or tight jeans. so after 5 years of “frump wear” ( my description of baggy sweats ) and maybe getting to please her with orgams maybe 1 - 3 times a year… we went to the book sources… all us perpetual student types go there first when we want knowledge… I do not feel any knowledge can come from any one selling something. :-)

in the book prescription for nutritional healing by avery publishing ISBN 0-89529-727-2 on page 283 is the list of nutrients and herbs that at least some parts of the medical community feel are connected with frigidity, the technical term for it ladies, NOT and insult.. :-)…

when you study the typical amounts of herbs and nutrients used to “treat” these symptoms, you will find the doses are FAR higher than in these overpriced combo pills… I will not list any herbs or amounts here among so many lawsuit happy “angry women” ! :-)

so when I discovered the list of herbs and nutrients that support her, and my sexual health I went to the local “Vitamin World” nope, I only shop there :-)… purchased fairly healthy dosed pills of the necessary nutrients and herbs… ( I found panax Ginseng to work great for me ). took them A LONG TIME ! since these things are not pill versions of what sets us off BUT ! these things gradually increase the bodys NATURAL sexual functions… so you ladies with hysterectomies have NO HORMONES FOR THE SUBSTANCES TO INCREASE , not likely to help you much really, so sorry…

My lady worked hard on her Psyche, her health and COMMUNICATIONS ! not just one thing… also she ended up becomming a stripper last summer which REALLY helped her in embracing her feminine whiles ! ( and ladies not ALL Strippers are having sex with any customers, or drug addicts :-)

so, she is healing rapidly… our change in eating vitamins and the other things gradually over about 3 years have made our sex life what it should be. Now I would not tell any of you to go out and get a job stripping ( even though it pays more than you could imagine :-) but get some videos on belly dancing maybe, like my lady did… please don’t look only into a bottle for any hope or help… and by the way, the belly dancing is for YOU ! not any males who might be enjoying it via watching :-).

also try the book The Herb Book, by a group of highly educated dosctors and nutritionalist… ISBN 0-553-26770-1 page 71 list another group of herbs that may help… and please, do searches for interractions before making choices ! remember, some of our over side effected drugs come from plants you know ! :-)

thanks for your time and I truly

wish you all the best…

Oh yea, PS>.. I have a separate bank account $5 a month fees, and it is attached to a “visa” debit card… when we want to buy some things online and we do so VERY OFTEN, we simply put some money in. ANY attempted charge over what we put in the account simply refuses to authorize.

It is like travelling by automoble...

either safely strapped in a seat or surfing on the rooftop like a dumb teen :-)… many risky things can be done safely and buying online well fits that category.

Thank God I found this website first!I was searching for the AVLIMIL website to order my FREE 30-day supply. Reading this not only saved me money, but a lot of needless grief. Thank you!

All I can say is THANK YOU! It takes a brave person to even ADMIT that they have a problem with sex…let alone that they BUY something for that problem….I, myself had thought about ordering this product… I went to the website and tried to find out the ingredients (something EVERYONE should do if the company WON’T list the ingredients then be careful of ordering) most of the ingredients can be found in local healthfood stores or through your friendly neighborhood herbologist…. my FREE advice is go to your Dr. or a psychiatrist… let THEM help you determine if your problems are physical or emotional and then let them perscribe something for you…something that HAS been tested and declared safe…. and one last word of warning… please DON’T try some new “miracle” drug for anything (wieght loss, sexual fix, mental health) before checking out the research findings… see how LONG it had been in research, find the test results and look for LONG-TERM effects…. I see too many adds for 1-800-BAD-DRUG and I shudder to think how many people got hurt or died trying untested medicines… so look for those reports folks and BE SAFE!

Just my 2 pennies in the wishing well of life Riambra

I logged on to the Avlimil website today in thoughts of ordering. I kept reading the about what would happen when I ordered the free sample. In my mind something kept saying to me not to order without checking what others think. Thank you all for your posts. I have learned to check it out before ordering. I have not submitted any info to the site, thank goodness, and learned here that I can do the free trial with a money order. I think this will be the way to go and if I get myself in any other kind of trouble from there, I still have great advice from here to go by. Thanks again and be good, Achildofthedark

Hi- I am on antidepressants and my hubby said he saw something on Amlivil…….so, to both our pleasures, I went to the website and was really sucked in! However, I read more sites and stumbled upon this one. THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU! I was skeptical when they said you had to email them first to get a RA#. Nonsense. Anyway, thank you everyone who saved my husband and I a lot of grief! It has not gone unappreciated! No ordering Amlivil for this girl!

May

I won’t be trying the product. Thank you all for being so frank.

I am amazed at the number of women who have betrated each other on this website. I myself just about 15 minutes ago saw the ad for Avlimil and decided to look into it. I had no idea what this drug was about and being 24 yrs old, I feel that everyone here wants the TRUTH, not anger and resentment from other women that we don’t even know. The fact of the matter is that the FDA has not approved this drug for what it claims to be. I also know, that some of us are very desperate to retrieve that lost feeling we once had when we were younger. The last thing I would like to say is that after reading SO MANY testimonies from real people on here, I have decided that this drug is no solution for me. I will be contacting my family doctor to help me with my libido problems. I would hope that this discussion board is no place to demean or attack each other, but rather it is a place to help one another along with true and accurate information that maybe one of us can share with the others. Women of all backgrounds need to stick together and not bring each other down. Doing this only makes things much worse than they alreday are in our lives.

I ordered the free Avlimil with a credit card that was expiring at the end of the month. After recieving 2 packs—they couldn’t charge me anymore because my card was expired—the shipments stopped. It was a good herbal supplement to try, but there are a lot of other more reasonably priced products available in drug & health food stores. I also realized I would still need to take a multi-vitamin because there is NO REAL nutritional vitamins in this product. It was worth a try but not for so much money!!!

I have been on the advimal for about 6 months now. I don’t have any noticable change in my sex drive. I did read the fine print, and I knew that when I signed up that I would be billed the $35 dollars a month. I am going to cancel and go off for a while. I feel that is the only way to see if my body was responding to the drug. Before I went on the product, I had had a hysterecmony about 3 years ago. I was having dryness and lack of disire. After going on the advimal, I noticed that the dryness was better, but the sex drive was no different. And although making love was not as painful, I’m not sure if I can give the advimal credit or if I had been taking a placebo would have done just as well. For those of you who wish to know more about the product than the price, here it is. I just turned 48. And am sure I am at the beginning of menopause. Hot flashes and night sweats began about a year ago.

excuse the spelling.

“Very few dance through life without falling down once in a while”

Thank you for this web site and all the posts. My wife does not have much of a labido and we both have been searching for some help. Although, she did think Avlimil would be her salvation, after reading these posts, we will not be waisting our monies on this product. My wife is a naturalist and understands the benefits of vitamins but this product does not sound like it performs as promised. We will seek help in other avenues. Thank you for this board, this info and saving us money. I do hope they come out with a Vaigra for woman. I love her so and just want her to be close to my labido level.

Thanks so much for your comments! I am so relieved I read them before finding Avlimil’s website. I stumbled upon this site because I was spelling it Avlamil with 2 a’s and not 2 i’s. I thought their website had disappeared! Anyway, thanks to whoever misspelled the word. I called the toll-free number a few weeks ago to order but the rude lady on the phone said it was free if I ordered online and $4.95 if I ordered on the phone. I like to save money, so I figured I’d go to the website once I had a stress-free moment to myself. Now I know I won’t save any money by ordering it online! FORGET IT!!

I’m 28 and was married 2.5 years ago, 4 days after 9/11. I had been waiting until I was married to have sex and boy, what a shocking disappointment! It’s painful, it’s not enjoyable - I’d rather clean the toilets!! My poor husband… he waited all that time for this?! So after trying creams and pills and testosterone, I’d all but given up. My OB-GYN says to have a normal libido; women must be at a testosterone level of 40 or more. I was at 21!! No wonder sex was neither fun, nor desirable – painful, too! She started me on testosterone pills and at my 4 week blood test we discovered my T level had dropped to 14!! And 4 weeks after that, 7! My body was rejecting this foreign testosterone, so she took me off of it and gave me the number of a sex therapist. Thanks.

Well, that’s my story. I think I’m going to meet with a Naturopath this month. Maybe she will come up with something my OB-GYN has never thought of. Life’s too long to be this unhappy.

I wish you ladies well!

Okay…not meaning to “bi#$h” more. But, I haven’t noticed much conversation on the side effects. I went BACK to their website to check it out (since most drugs come with a list of side effects and is usually included in studies at the very least) but still have not found any listed. Anyway, these pills have made me very sick to my stomach. I have been up all night sick. So, BEWARE…I am not one to be weak on pills (antibiotics, asthma, etc.) and if they can make me sick it can happen to anyone. Also, if they don’t work (which I probably won’t keep taking them to find out) don’t you think that the marketing strategy here is wonderful? I mean, what better way to secure a 12 month revenue but to state “it takes 12 weeks or more.” If I were a pro in scamming the consumers, I would say that would definitely add security to my paycheck. Especially the self renewal. Funny how most good comments on here seem fixed. I mean it’s obvious that the people from advimil are monitoring the comments on this site. Also, to those of you that have had fem surgery or had a baby, it takes time for you body to heal anyway. Don’t think that it’s automatically the pill working for you just because it lubrication, libido, etc comes back. You’re body has/had to heal itself. I’m 29 and have a 2 year old. My body went through hell and still isn’t back to normal. But, there are those moments every once in a blue moon that I WANT to initiate and not just him. So, it must have been that aspirin I had taken earlier in the day, huh?
As far as those of you who are complaining about people griping or bi#$hing….this is a board and people debate daily. This is how awareness is created and class action lawsuits get started. What’s the big deal? Maybe you have too much time on your hands to belittle them in the same manner in which they were speaking THEIR minds. In any case, good luck with your decision to take or not to take….

i AM SAVED ! i AM SAVED.

THANKS TO YOU GUYS FOR YOUR VALUABLE FEEDBACK, I ALMOST FELL INTO THE TRAP A FEW MINUTES AGO, THANKS TO MY CREDIT CARD DETAILS THAT WAS NOT READILY AVAILABLE DURING THE CALL.

I am having problems with Avlimil right now, they will not stop charging my card. The asked for a one time $4.95 shipping and handling and have been charging my card $70.00 ever since. I did not order anything additional, nor did the first bottle work. THIS IS AN ABSOLUTE SCAM, IF THERE IS A CLASS ACTION SUIT, PLEASE INCLUDE ME!!!

I tried it, too! It didn’t work for me either! You know what did? Going off the pill! Maybe it’s the liberated feeling of taking back my $35 per month. It’s very easy to cancel your “yearly membership” on the website www.askberkeley or by calling 1-866-834-1715.

I was looking for the avlimil free offer when I found this site. Boy am I glad I checked ti first. Thanks to all of you that commented. I would have been scammed because I am desperate for help. I suffer from Chronic Fatigue/Fibromyalgia and oneof the side effects of the disease is lack of sex drive. I ws looking for anything that would help, but alas, I guess I will have to keep looking. Thanks everyone for taking the time to warn the unsuspecting victims.

This crap is sold through tne same rip off company as the shit and same color, (porbably the same shit) my husband was taken in by, ENZYTE. Pay $4.95 shipping and then our credit card was charged $69.95 within a week of the receipt of the female version. HA HA HA I was told there was no refunds. I wrote the Ohio Attorney General’s office and reported the rip off. I received a letter of apology from the company and my funds were returned to my account. And a followup letter from the A.G.

Thank you all!!!!! Found this while looking for the “free offer:

I just wanted to thank everyone on here. i was about to call and order this product when I found this site and had second thoughts. Thankx again for saving me alot of money!

Serious Side effects of listed ingredients used in avlimil:

The following herbs used within avlimil can have some very serious side effects. After taking this product for 5 days and having a very bad headache for those 5 days. I decided to look up the side effects of the herbs used after not being able to find anything listed on their web site. Also I am wondering why they are wanting women to try the product for 12 months when some of the herbs used within it shouldnt be taken longer than a week at a time. The following info came from the web site “Whole health MD”

Licorice: can raise blood pressure—a function of glycyrrhizin’s action on the adrenal glands—so avoid taking more than the recommended dosage. If you take licorice for more than four weeks, have your blood pressure checked. (Stop taking the herb at the first sign of high blood pressure; this side effect is reversible.)

At high doses taken over long periods of time, licorice can result in excessive salt loss from the blood, heart irregularities, and other serious health problems. Symptoms of this type of overdose may include headache, swelling, stiffness, shortness of breath, upper abdominal pain, and lethargy, among others.

Side effects should disappear very shortly after stopping licorice. If not, see a doctor at once.

Black cohosh root: When taken at commonly recommended doses, black cohosh is associated with few—if any—adverse reactions. However, some women do experience stomach upset, weight gain, and dizziness when taking black cohosh.

Very high doses can cause vomiting, headache, dizziness, excessively low blood pressure, and limb pain. Consult a doctor immediately if you suspect an overdose.

Cautions

Because black cohosh is such a powerful herb, many experts recommend taking it for no longer than six months at a time.

If you suffer from heart disease, check with your doctor before trying black cohosh.

Because of its hormonal effects, don’t use black cohosh if you’re pregnant or breast-feeding, or if you have an estrogen-sensitive cancer.

If you are a woman of child-bearing age, take extra care to confirm that you haven’t mistaken the herb blue cohosh for black cohosh. Blue cohosh (Caulophyllum thalictroides), also known as blueberry root, papoose root, or squawroot, has long been used to induce labor and today is sometimes sold as a menstrual remedy. A recent study reported that blue cohosh can cause significant birth defects in rats; it remains unclear whether the same will happen in humans, but caution is warranted

Ginger root: Cautions

Don’t treat pregnancy-related nausea with ginger for longer than the first two months of pregnancy. Similarly, don’t take more than 250 mg four times a day during pregnancy without consulting your obstetrician.

Avoid medicinal amounts of ginger if you have gallstones unless your doctor advises you otherwise; the herb increases bile flow.

Because ginger can make blood platelets less sticky—and thus increase the risk for bleeding—it’s probably a good precautionary measure to stop taking ginger three to four days before any scheduled surgery. Start up again right after surgery.

Valeriana root:

Generally, valerian causes no side effects when taken at recommended doses. Some people do experience drowsiness or a certain lack of alertness if they take the herb during the day, however.

Extremely large doses may cause dizziness, restlessness, blurry vision, nausea, excitability, and/or grogginess upon awakening. A case of valerian overdose was reported in 1995; taking approximately 20 times the recommended therapeutic dose of valerian root (18 to 24 grams) produced mild symptoms. Luckily, these symptoms resolved within 24 hours.

Cautions

Don’t take valerian on a nightly basis for more than two consecutive weeks. Even though the herb is not addictive, it’s generally not a good idea to depend on any sleep aid long term.

After taking valerian, wait at least three hours before driving, operating heavy machinery, or undertaking any other potentially hazardous task that requires you to be alert.

Make sure to avoid alcohol while taking valerian.

Don’t take valerian if you are pregnant or breast-feeding.

Well, thanks to all of you for your testimonies, I’m online to order avilmil, but after reading what you all had to say about the product, well was enough for me. thanks for your testimonies!

Thanks for the info. I was thinking of ordering online but will do the mail order route. I plan on using a money order. Thanks, you all saved me a huge headache.

I MYSELF HAVE NOT ORDERED AVLIMIL SO I DO NOT KNOW IF IT WORKS OR NOT. I DO KNOW THAT AFTER READING THESE POSTINGS, I WILL NEVER TRY AVLIMIL. I WAS SHOCKED AT HOW SOME OF THESE WOMEN CALLED THE OTHERS STUPID FOR NOT READING THE FINE PRINT. IT MAKES ME THINK THESE POSTINGS MAY BE FROM PEOPLE CONNECTED TO THE COMPANY. NO MATTER WHAT THE PROBLEM, THE COMPANY SHOULD ANSWER THEIR CALLS FROM THEIR CUSTOMERS NO MATTER WHAT THE REASON. HOPEFULLY THIS COMPANY WILL BE EXPOSED AND THEY WILL HAVE TO STOP SCAMMING WOMEN THAT JUST WANT A CHANCE TO FEEL NORMAL AGAIN.

I would like to thank all of the women out there that have shared their story. I have been considering this pill. I am 37 and desperate, but after reading these postings. I am going to pass, on this “little miracle” pill. I don’t need the hassle that is involved, for nothing to be gained in the end. To those women out there that are calling names and bad mouthing, you need help worse than I do, you don’t have a life. God Bless.

Caveat emptor, especially with herbal remedies since they are regulated as food but are in fact drugs. For those who don’t read the fine print, you should probably stay away from herbal supplements since not only your checkbook, but your health is at risk. To research the ingredients in this supplement, you can look at the ingredients list and do a search on the internet to find out what the potential risks might be. The NIH has a website for alternative medicines, so if you type the name of the ingredient and NIH you will get any information that might be on that site. My sister recommended that I try Avlimil after her mother in law had good results. I am post menopausal, so I don’t need to worry about complications in pregnancy. If I could get pregnant, I wouldn’t take it. I also found an article written by a nurse about various supplements and teas that can be used for menopausal and other feminine problems. Those of you who want relief but don’t want to pay big bucks for supplements might check it out for the teas.

Good luck to all.

My wife was interested in trying the Avlamil and called for her 30 day trial. She was talked into ordering a five month supply, believing that for many it takes several months to really get the effects. She was thinking that after a few months that the product was working a little, but it never did last, so we are not really sure. Without our consent, the company tried to continue to send the product every month. We accepted one additional month and the cancelled all future orders. What was strange was that the final shipment had a smell to them that made it almost impossible to swallow. None of the other pills were like that. Has anyone else had this experience?

Saw commercial for free sample Avlimil on TV, signed up for sample and paid $4.50 S&H. Free sample web page was to enter details and payment method details only, no info. on future order charges. Next month I was charged for $65.50 for ‘my order’, when I called to cancel and get refund, I was told I had unwittingly signed up for monthly shipments at the time of registering for my free sample. Told I should have read the whole website, not just the sign up for free sample page (as advertised on TV). Free sample web page and TV commercial did not specify that the buyer should check through the whole website before registering for sample. I was not aware at any point that I had registered for ‘Managed Care Direct’, was only told Managed Care Direct was responsible for shipping my sample. I consider myself to be a very responsible buyer and would not have registered with this site if I had been made aware of the pitfalls, as the company says I was. I have since checked online and found thousands of women who have been ripped off in exactly the same way, though many were charged much more and continue to be charged even after their ‘subscriptions’ were cancelled. I have cancelled my ‘subscription’ and have also taken the pre-emtive step of cancelling my debit card to avoid possible future charges from this company. I have filed a complaint with Better Business Bureau about this incident. Avlimil should be made to change their intentionally misleading advertising practices when selling this apparently ‘free sample’. The Avlimil website does, however, state clearly the terms for ordering full price purchases, I am outraged that the same was not applied to the free sample page. I have been unable to bring up the same sample order page since, I assume it has been moved or deleted. Will be able to test efficiency of Avlimil with my unwanted and unauthorized pre-paid 2 month supply that’s on its way!

Thank all of you so much for all your comments, we to watched the commericals and were going to order Avlimil, and have now decided not to.

I recently started to take medication for depression and one of the side effects is lack of sexual energy. and unfortunatly, that side effect is coming true for me.. my husband and i had a wonderful sex life where we engaged in activity many nights a week.. we kept seeing the commercial for avilimil and thought i would try it.. i found this site and read most of the posts..we will try to find something else that will work to get things back to normal for us.. Thank you for putting this on the web for people to find. alot of the people in this country dont have the extra money to waste on scams. Thanks again.

how do I cancel this garbage? anyone know??

Cancel your credit card or debit card, or have the number changed. Then complain to the Better Business Bureau (www.bbb.org). Anyone who has gotten them involved has had their money refunded. Good Luck!

I too ordered the free avlimil sample and although I didn’t have any over charge trouble I still feel stupid and I have cancelled my debit card after reading all of this. THIS PRODUCT IS A FRAUD. I have experienced exactly NO effects from taking it whatsoever. Zip, zilch, nil, nadda. Please show some sense and do not order anything from this comapny even using an order form. There is quite simply and obviously no basis for the claims made. Any effect that some people might experience is entirely psychosomatic. If you want to find information over the internet about a sexual dysfunction or any medical concern look on www.webmd.com. Any company or product that inspires this much dissatisfaction should be boycotted immediately!! Companies that count on people not reading the fine print for revnue are predatory. Please please please do not use your hard earned money to support there fradulant activities!!!!!

I ordered this product and I want to tell everyone it works. I started feeling less sad and depressed at the end of the first month. I’m now near the end of my third month of pills and I’m happy. I haven’t felt this happy in a quite a number of years. I’m just now starting to have more of a sexual desire but it’s not back to normal. Even if that wasn’t starting to come back I would continue to take these pills. I’ve been feeling miserable for so long I almost forgot what ‘normal’ felt like.

You can’t take these pills for two weeks and expect to feel results. I would encourage people to try it for at least 3 months before giving up.

I never posted my experience but I thought I would after reading how many are still having problems. I went throught the same thing countless others have been through…..the unauthorized charges….et. What worked for me was to call any ph# that I could actually get a human being to answer on. I previously was hung up on a few times when they realized it was a complaint. I wrote down names, operator#’s , managers names & would not let them get off the phone with first getting their info immediately. The hysterical thing is, they have so many complaints that they tell you outlandish things to get you off the phone. After finally speaking to 3 people which told me that particular shift did not have a manager on duty (yeah right) put me in contact with a supervisor who “happened” to be walking into the building on the phone with me. She said they were just the ordering department & that the building you cancel your order in is a building 3 blocks away? Once a day a girl comes to their building & takes messages back to that building to cancel & credit orders. She only knew the girls first name & nothing else. what a way to run business. I had to practically nail her to a contact time of when my money would be refunded & told her I was holding her personally responsible for making sure “my message” was received. I got her name & information & operator# & told her “this time” they better ge it taken care of or this time with her employee info, I would be able to speak with her again to see why it was still not taken care of. She was not happy…..BUT,it did get taken care of 5 days later. They told so many lies & charged my card eventhough they assured me nothing would be charged until the next shipment month……and the woman that says to contact her on this website “Pamela” who says she is taking care of this now & to contact her personally…..I did & you know what…..she NEVER responded….

Shocked! Not really! Be weary folks……I can’t wait to see this company get a lawsuit against them…..this is such a SCAM!

Good Luck to all!

I’ve been taking the Avamil for about two weeks. I chose it for PMS symptoms, not sex drive. Uhh, I have some nasty PMS and my foul mood is driving everyone away…! I do feel it’s pricy for what you’re getting but I’m terrible about taking supplements so an all in one is much better for me. Some of the ingredients do have immediate results, like valerian. It’s just too bad it smells SO nasty, yuck. I also love my omega 3’s and never leave home without them. I know that the product needs a solid couple of months to get rolling so I’m going to try it out. If it sucks after that or my PMS symptoms haven’t improved, I’ll cancel my shipments.

(Tribulus)

thank you all for comments i was just looking up avlimil and found this forum so im not going to get any. but when serching i found this site for the product tribestan?see below, has anyone tried this? if so let me know. many thanks mel Tribestan (Tribulus Terrestris L.) improves sexual activity, and also improves and prolongs penile erection in men. In women it improves sexual activity, stimulates ovogenesis and has other beneficial effects as well. Traditionally used as a dietary supplement to enhance vigor, vitality and stamina.

Tribulus Terrestris doesn’t belong here. The answer is no. Though sites that profit from its sales will tell you otherwise.

Update to section #173 (above) AVLIMIL REFUND!!!!!!!

I contacted the customer care director (who writes section #143 above) through this website, her name is Pamela Butler and her email address is pbutlercc@warnerhealthcare.com This lady was exceedingly helpful and told me to return my unopened ‘unauthorised’ shipment in return for a full refund. I was very sceptical after reading about so many people who have returned their unopened packages and had them convieniently ‘lost in the mail’. When the shipment was delivered, I packaged it again in a large padded envelope along with a letter including all my dealings with the director, and her refund offer. I mailed it with insurance and delivery confirmation and today I received a check for $70 (my bank was originally debited $65.50). As I had previously cancelled my debitcard, Ms Butler offered a paper check instead. Ms Butler stated that she will be happy to help others out in the same situation as I was. However, I had also reported my situation to the Better Business Bureau before my dealings with Ms Butler, I am unsure if it was the BBB or Ms Butler that helped speed up my refund. Good Luck to all!

I am VERY SATISFIED with my Avilmil and it’s effects in my bedroom. I ordered before the free month sample came out, but if you read the website it tells you exactly how they bill you and how you are enrolled in the Managed Care program when trying the sample. Since I started taking it, I orgasm better, faster, and my libito is through the roof! This was such a blessing since I was taking anti-depressants and had lost all ability to orgasm or even get aroused. I buy it on Ebay now though, since I can get it for 20$ or so, and I’m not enrolled in any programs, or auto payment systems. It also says on the website that it may not work for everyone. But, it worked for me!! :):):)

Oh, and one more thing I forgot. You have to use it for at least a month. It doesn’t show any effects for about 3 weeks, so be patient, and you may see better results!! :)

I was trying to inquire aboutyour freee sample I saw on TV my address is 33 west strawbridge ave apt e8 Melbourne FL 32901. please let me know how i can receive my free sample. Thanks Brandie

I tried the free 30 day supply of Avlimil, wasn’t told that there would be future shipments that would be debitedfrom my checking account before the product was even shipped, was refused a refund, and the stuff didn’t even work. “Of course,” the salesman said, “it can take Avlimil up to 12 weeks to see desired results…” Ladies, don’t waste your money. If the company has so much faith in the supplement, why the hell don’t they offer you a free 12 week supply instead of 30 days?

Looks like I have joined the club of people who have been ripped off by Avlimil - the free trial wasn’t on the web site when I looked in April so I called and was told you could not get the free trial on line. I asked to get the free trial and we discussed the managed care but I asked if I could try the sample first and she said OK. Well, obviously you know the story - I was charged for a product ($140) that I didn’t even order and haven’t even received. This company is a scam. They would only refund half the money, kept telling obvious lies, and stole my money. They would not give me a confirmation number in writing and the operator would not give her last name so I am expecting another rip off next month. I am reporting them to my credit card company and refusing this payment. Thank you very much for this web site - it makes me feel a lot better to vent.

I ordered this joke of a “wonderful” pill after suffering of non-existant sexual drive and fearing losing my husband after I had a complete Hysterectomy at the age of 39 due to suffering all my life with Endometriosis. After taking the pills for 25 days and finding no improvement, I called the folks at Avlimil and cancelled. Well, due to the fact that I ordered through the internet and “didn’t cancel withing 20 days”, I was charge the $70.00 to my account. I disputed the charge with my bank and will no be returned my money. I returned the “product” that the sent me and they will not give me my money back.

I don’t know about any one else that has been taken by this people, but I will investigate how to take this people to court not only for my $70.00 but for pain and suffering.

Still my sex drive is non-existant and still have problems with my husband because of it.

Thanks for the opportunity to vent and I wished I had found y’all before I ordered the stuff.

You hould yank your TV adds because you are miss representing your product. It does absoutley nothing for me. I hope someone starts a class action suit. I gaurentee you I will join in. I just tried to call your number and got disconnected. It is my intent to cancell my membership. You are fraudulent and should be punished to the fullest extent of the law.

You want satisfaction in the bedroom, try having an intimate relationship with Jesus Christ. I almost bought this for my wife, but was reminded that intimacy with JC must come first. If you and your spouse has this and practices together, intimacy between the two of you will improve.

It seems to me that the most frequent complaint is that Avlimil wants you to enroll in the monthly plan which makes perfect sense to me in terms of sales/marketing. Whatever the site said earlier, the disclaimers are there now but the thing is I don’t care about $35/month if the stuff works and if it doesn’t work I would cancel after trying it for a few months.

What i’d like to know is whether or not the product works and whether their is any peer-reviewed research on the product.

I can sympathize with those who can’t afford the price of the product but so many of the complaints here sound like “Well I tried to get it for free and don’t want to pay for it” - not bashing those who tried that but I am starting from the assumption that trying it for 90 days as recommended will cost $74 or so and if there is no effect after 120 days I’ll take them up on the offer - canwe getsome feedback from those who tried a similar approach to evaluating this product? Repeat - I get that they will sign me up for monthly repeat orders and do their best to keep me ordering forever - if it works they can, if it doesn’t i’ll quit - can anyone give some thoughtful feedback to the product assuming I am quite willing to sign up for their autobilling/delivery plan?

I was thinking about trying the free month but after reading the posts I’m going to save my time. Like the one doctor said, there are so many different reasons for lack of sexual response (especially in women, it seems). I know if my husband is being an asshole, as is his custom, there is no way in hell I’m going to even want to respond physically, so NOTHING is going to work. But on the occasions when I am actually not repulsed when he touches me, I have noticed a big difference in my response since I have been on Lexapro. I know it causes “sexual side effects” for some, but for me it relieves my anxiety so I can relax and be in the moment.

I can not believe the stupidity of all those who have purchased this product and have taken it without reading any of the literature on Avlimil’s own site, including the stupid doctor who gave free samples to his clients suffering from menapause.

If you took the time to read the study conducted by these crooks, you will find that all MENAPAUSAL WOMEN WERE EXCLUDED from the study!!!!

THEN, THEY GAVE THEM A CREDIT CARD NUMBER TO PAY FOR THEIR “FREE” SAMPLE!!!!!!!!!!!

I say anyone stupid enough to buy something without doing research first, especially a supplement that is ingested, deserves to be ripped off. With the advent of the internet, there are even fewer excuses for this stupidity.

As for the doctor and his comments, I would suggest that all his clients find someone with an IQ a little higher than the three letters in his title.

I am a 33 year old mother of 3. I had a hysterectomy in 5/03 and as a result, I lost my libedo completely even though my hormone levels were normal. I ordered a 2 month supply of Avlimil after being told I had to take it a full month before I saw results. After 6 weeks, I felt nothing! I called Avlimil to cancel my automatic refills (Managed Care Direct). I now have a 4 month supply in the bottom of my dresser drawer because they did not cancel as per my request. I’ve decided there is no “majic” over the counter medication and now wonder if I’ll have to live like this forever.

Just wanted to say that I agree that Avlimil does nothing for the libido, but it sure as heck is a great substitute for hormone replacement therapy. I lost my premenopause symptoms after a couple of weeks on the product. At one point I thought it was coincidence and went off Avlimil. The symptoms came right back. So, I am not mad. :-)

AVLIMIL is a SCAM- I am in the process of reporting this company and it’s practices to the US Postal Service for mail fraud, the Better Business Bureau of Cincinatti, OH (the company’s home town),the FDA and the Discover Card Company. I also tried Avlimil for a few months with no results, then called to cancel and get my “money-back refund”. They told me I had to continue for a full year and then would be eligible for the refund. So I did not cancel because I wanted my refund. This December I noticed I hadn’t received any automatice shipments in quite a while. I called and the company tells me they canceled my membership because they were having trouble with the Discover Card company. They CLAIM they sent me emails, left phone messages and mailed a postcard. Upon further investigation I found they had the WRONG email address, WRONG phone number and I never received any postcard. I asked for copies of the documentation for these attempts and was told it could not be provided. When I asked for copies of the original one-year contract terms I was told that could not be provided either. I also asked for the money I had invested so far. The company refused based on the excuse thatI had broken the contract by not contacting them to set up another form of payment, and subsequently had not taken the pill for a full twelve months. I also learned that in order to get the refund you have to send back TWELVE EMPTY PILL CARDS. And, if your doctor tells you to quit taking it anytime before the 12 months is up THE COMPANY REQUIRES A WRITTEN NOTE FROM YOUR DOCTOR WITHIN 30 DAYS OR YOU ARE INELIGIBLE FOR THE REFUND. It is now time to stop this company from it’s Millions of dollars in fraud, deceit, and false claims. Please contatct the Better Business Bureau in Cincinatti, the Postal Service, the FDA and whoever else you can think of and file complaints. THESE PEOPLE MUST BE STOPPED!

I have been taking it for a full year now, and it works for me! Everything is heightened - arousal, response, and definitely orgasms are far more intense, as well as orgasms lasting a longer time. I will continue to take Avlimil as long as it works for me. So far, it has really improved sex. Its phenomenal. its too bad its not “one size fits all.” It may not work for everyone, but people like me are VERY pleased with it!

Just thought I would leave a comment concerning Avlimil. The company that sells the suppliment was raided by the FBI yesterday because of their many complaints. Here is the link to the news story: http://www.wcpo.com/news/2005/local/03/16/raid.html

Warner Health Care Changed their name to Berkeley Premium Neutraceuticals. Thought this might be interesting!

I “tried” Avlimil for 12 months, made copies of everything and sent the required packages back, within the correct time frame. Received NOTHING. Thanks for all this information. I plan to use it!

Hi I don’t know if anyone will get this because it looks as if no one has used this site in a while but I am desperate. I am seriously considerin ordering the product dispite the bad info about the company. Possibly to my own dismay but I can not take it any more. I am a 31 year old mother of 2 and married and have never had an orgasm. *NEVER I need help so if anyone is listening and have any suggestions please let me know. No weirdo’s Please. No offense but I aam probably considered a prude by most so I don’t need and pornografic things sent to me. Thank You Jessia petbuddy@comcst.net

How do you feel?

Feel free to share your feelings about 30,000 have bought a $50 bottle of Avlimil. Please stick to the theme of the entry. Disagreement is fine. Homophobia, racism, and kindred expressions of hatred will be deleted. This site is one of my hobbies. I genuinely enjoy hearing from people and hate moderating or killing comments. Forthright disagreement is fine as long as it is civil.
My thanks,
Richard
