Browsing the web I found this question by a nineteen year old guy:
Should a young man wash under his foreskin regularly, as some of my friends say?
The youth was admonished:
So you should pull back the foreskin and wash under it, preferably once a day.
This simple routine helps protect you against cancer of the penis. Although that condition is not very common, it can arise in later life. And it nearly always affects guys who have not washed themselves.
Hogwash I thought. Penis cancer - if it even exists - surely isn’t affected by whether or not you clean under your foreskin.
Like many things that I once hadn’t heard of penis cancer really does exist. And if you - like myself - are uncircumcised you are at greater risk. A risk that can indeed be diminished by washing under your foreskin. (Yes, I know there are more obvious other reasons.)
I’m glad I didn’t know about this when I was young. I can just see myself touching my cock and wondering if whatever imagined difference I felt at that moment was incipient penis cancer.
