When Fetishes Go Mad & Bad
» Sexual Health
I’m a pronounced retifist but luckily it is a passion shared by my beloved.
Many women are open to footwear worship. It is easy to see it as sexy and fun. But no woman wants to discover that the man’s passion is really for what she has on her feet and not for her.
One unhappy woman involved with an obsessive retifist wrote to an advice columnist:
He has a foot fetish and has no interest in sex unless I’m wearing high-heeled sandals.
Although the novelty of him worshipping my feet was fun and erotic to start with, I never feel we’re making love.
I just seem to be the vehicle for his satisfaction, and that isn’t fulfilling at all for me.
Many of us can glide in and out and around our kinks. But for a woman who want to be more than the host of a physical object this advice is sensible:
For a fetishist, enough is never enough. A man turned on by feet will always be turned on by them. Fetishes can’t be wished away, nor can they be filed under “things I’ve tried”.
There’s nothing wrong with having a fetish but your boyfriend seems to have a one-track mind and is only interested in his own pleasure.
All too many women - recounts of responses to personal ads on kink and fetish dating sites make a sad testimony - the men who displace the person in their quest to have a fixation fulfilled.
